In partnership with BYD, our Building Dreams and Forests campaign has transformed barren land into a thriving pocket forest — now home to native plants, vibrant insects, and singing birds.

What was once empty is now alive.
What was once imagined is now growing.
This is regeneration in motion.
This is just the beginning.

15 months into the journey, Rewilding Lalitpur is thriving with 99% survival rate across 120 trees representing 17 native species.

More than just a growing forest, this space is becoming a living native seed bank, preserving indigenous biodiversity and creating a thriving habitat for wildlife. With birds returning and bees buzzing among the trees, nature is gradually reclaiming its space.

Every native tree is a step towards a richer, healthier, and more biodiverse urban ecosystem.

A collaborative initiative by Lalitpur Metropolitan City, BYD, Revolution Project, and the Jane Goodall Institute Nepal. 💚 by @therevolutionproject

Rewilding Will Not Stop! One more native pocket forest planted. 300 native trees at Balkumari, Lalitpur, to rewild open spaces and build a home for biodiversity.

A collaborative campaign by Lalitpur Ward No. 8, The Jane Goodall Institute Nepal, Rotary Club Of Himalayan Golfers, Revolution Project and Domar Samrakchan Samiti. 🌻

Nature is our oldest therapist. This is a very important reminder for all of us. We come from nature and it knows how to make us feel better. I’m sure you’ve felt it for yourself, every time you have spent time in the wild. Science has proven it too. Choose your wellbeing and let nature assist you. 🌳💚

Rewilding Triumphantly!
3 years and we have a beautiful thriving forest with us. Average growth rate is 13 feet among 1500 native saplings. 98% survival rate shows the magic of following the laws of nature. Wildlife is coming back and we are elated. The forests shall return! 🌳✊🏼

It started with a conviction, not just a campaign.
In 2023, BYD and The Revolution Project let nature reclaim what was always hers, united by a shared mission to conserve native plants and rebuild the ecosystems we nearly lost.

In time, these forests will stand as living seed banks—quietly regenerating ecosystems, strengthening natural resilience, and sustaining biodiversity for generations yet to come.

This World Environment Day, we reflect on a legacy shaped by survival, restoration, and a thriving spectrum of life. A legacy that demonstrates what becomes possible when we remain committed to protecting our roots and nurturing what sustains us. And from that foundation, we continue forward with an unwavering mission—where every new leaf is not just growth, but momentum toward a shared ambition: to cool the earth by one degree.
