Day 3 of my Man Trip…. Simple one today really. Left what has become a staple hotel (An Grianán Áile) near the Derry border and headed south to point 6 ( Drunquin Clock Fermanagh). Met a really nice local man probably in his mid to late 60s who as it transpires got into biking in the past few years only and heard about the photo rally on the ferry from Rosslare to Spain from some rally participants on the boat. He was heading to the Pìcos but only copped today that the clock in his own village was a photo point🙈…said he noticed a lot of bikes😅 On to the Leitrim point to discover that I never deleted last years Point from my sat nav brought me to that point🙈 you can imagine my surprise - this place looks familiar 😅…. The plus side is that for a change I’d loads of time and the actual point was about another 25km away (more or less in the direction I’d come from) but over a very remote bog road if a mountain pass with a lush carpet of grass & moss in the middle. To be fair it was stunning and very remote. I’d only set myself three points to get this day so way more relaxed that usual! by @therichmondrevival
Day 2 of four…. So following on from yesterday’s post re getting away on a bit of a last minute man-trip to (hopefully) finish the rally. I crossed the border from Monaghan, grabbed points 4,3,2 &1. Staying in Donegal tonight and plan to stay in Tobercurry tomorrow…. Got embroiled in a controversial story regarding point 02 concerning an incident earlier in the year. I’ve not been on facebook so wasn’t aware that it had already been ‘featured’….and I was quite rightly set to wrights on that one so apologies to those concerned. Any day without rain this time of year is a great day so yes it was a great day…… by @therichmondrevival
