Hey y’all I thought I’d show my face at some point and introduce myself 😂 so here’s a pic of me in Ontario, where I’m originally from and if you swipe right you’ll see a pic of me in Nunavut, where I’m currently living!

I like reading, writing, D&D and making my lil arts and crafts. My instagram feed feels like a little creative corner so I love scrolling through and feeling inspired 🥰

my auto-buy authors: Fredrik Backman, Grady Hendrix and Tanya Talaga

my fave D&D campaigns: curse of strahd and descent into avernus

oh i also like baking… so maybe my hobby is just collecting hobbies 🧐 by @thescribblingghost

Games to play while listening to audiobooks, aka my new favourite hobby 😂

I thought I’d share some of the games I’ve played while listening! Currently I’m definitely into Power Wash Simulator 2 but I do like to switch back to other games sometimes.

Happy new year!! 🥳 I’m starting 2026 off with a bingo for books and a bingo for life 😂 I’m also like, not great with social media but I want to try other platforms too so that’s made it to the list for this year as well. So if you guys have Fable and want to connect let me know! I’m still in the middle of figuring it out 👵🏾

My book bingos are usually a mash up of the popular ones online, though the dragon one seems to sneak in every year bc what’s a reading year without at least one dragon present??

Started playing Pokémon Champions again and then immediately started thinking, “What do these guys get up to during matches?” so ofc I had to make a post about it LOL

Also a shoutout to this team to getting me to Ultra Ball Rank 1 but as I was making this post I DID switch up the team so sorry 🙇‍♀️

Let’s talk about how many books I’ve started in October 😂😂😂 oh and let’s not forget my audiobook (listening to Roll for Love). Do you guys do this?? Just me??

Anyyyyways, focusing on Buffalo Hunter Hunter this week! It’s good so far, and I’m loving the set up and the distinct character voices in Buffalo Hunter Hunter.

Also shout out to Greg Greene’s Substack post which has a glossary of all the words Good Stab uses it’s been super helpful!

“I’d rather be a pig than a fascist.”

TELL EM PORCO 🐽

I love the vibes of this film but the misogyny brings me down LOL I know that it’s obviously not an endorsement and definitely plays into the male chauvinist character and the whole “all men are pigs” saying but it gets to a point where I’m just like “ok porco, I’ve heard enough” 🤣🤣🤣

For my TBR picks I went with film inspo, anthropomorphic animals and stories with a strong war theme mixed with comedy!

🕵️ SPYXFAMILY by Tatsuya Endo
🛩️ Wind, Sand and Stars by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry
🦡 The Wind in the Willows by Kenneth Grahame
🔥 Skies of Fire by Ray Chou, Vincenzo Ferreiro, Pablo Peppino

BOOK SUMMARY

A chilling historical horror novel set in the American west in 1912 following a Lutheran priest who transcribes the life of a vampire who haunts the fields of the Blackfeet reservation looking for justice.

A diary, written in 1912 by a Lutheran pastor is discovered within a wall. What it unveils is a slow massacre, a chain of events that go back to 217 Blackfeet dead in the snow. Told in transcribed interviews by a Blackfeet named Good Stab, who shares the narrative of his peculiar life over a series of confessional visits. This is an American Indian revenge story written by one of the new masters of horror, Stephen Graham Jones.

I’ve also been catching up on my inktober prompt! I drew a modron from D&D for the ‘contraption’ prompt! by @thescribblingghost

Putting a break on reading the Sixth Faction to read one of my book club books!! If any of you are fans of the Malazan books by Steven Erikson apparently he was heavily influenced by this series (and in my copy even does the introduction!)

It’s definitely an older style or writing and it just throws you right into the world. Not sure I’m understanding everything yet but I’m sure it’ll come with time 😂

ALSOOO just wanted to share this super cute bookmark I got as a bday present!! 🥰

THE BLACK COMPANY by Glen Cook

Some feel the Lady, newly risen from centuries in thrall, stands between humankind and evil. Some feel she is evil itself. The hard-bitten men of the Black Company take their pay and do what they must, burying their doubts with their dead. Until the prophesy: The White Rose has been reborn, somewhere, to embody good once more. There must be a way for the Black Company to find her...

I also got this AMAZING Pokémon Halloween piece that’s not the center piece on my coffee table 😂😂

It’s also my bday today and I celebrated with a birthday brunch yesterday but absolutely forgot to take any pictures LOL
