Had such a fun time test knitting this beautiful new cardigan for @aliciaplums - The Homebody Cardi. I was nervous about the bottom up construction because I’m short but I trusted the process and it turned out perfect. This is a sturdy cardigan with thoughtful shaping that will definitely last for years. I also highly recommend the yarn I used @peace_fleece from @heavenlyyarnsmaine . Strong, wooly, and not itchy 😄 Pattern: The Homebody by Alicia Plummer Yarn: Peace Fleece Worsted in Patience Blue by @thesewildflowers

Can’t shake that new top feelingggg. 💃 This took me a bit longer than expected because the silk yarn was challenging to maintain tension at first and I had some rowing out at the top. But I think I mastered it by the end and I’m viewing the tension differences as a design element vs a flaw 😉. The wearability and drape of silk made it all worth it though. Spring is in full swing and bees have entered the chat! 🐝 As the days warm up our buzzy little friends are out and about, but those chilly evenings are still hanging around. That’s where this honeycomb poncho🍯 comes in. Using the Tunisian honeycomb stitch, it has lots of warmth, but also great drape. This was a joy to crochet and worked up in no time. Definitely on my list to make more. Pattern: Hot Cocoa Poncho by @tlyarncrafts #crochet #handmadewithlove #poncho #tunisiancrochet #handmademakes #hotcocoaponcho by @thesewildflowers

Chamomile calendula balm is a dry skin hero for these windy blustery days. Super simple to make with just herb infused oil + beeswax, and it smells amazzzinnggg. 🌼🐝 #herbs #herbalism #skincare #diy #apothecary by @thesewildflowers
Fermented soda! It’s so easy to make and pretty magical. You can use almost any fruit or herbs and even peels or scraps will work. It’s packed full of probiotics and tummy friendly. Thanks to @jkb.journal for the inspiration! Step by step below: Ingredients: 👉Glass jar with tight fitting lid 👉Fruit or herbs 👉Raw honey 👉Filtered water 👉Time & patience 😉 Day 1 1️⃣Fill your jar half way full with chopped fruit (you can include the peels) or herbs. 2️⃣Add 1/4 cup honey per quart jar (scale up or down as needed to suit your jar). 3️⃣Fill the rest of the jar within about 1 inch from the top with FILTERED water. Filtered is key here, we don’t want any chlorine to interfere with the fermentation process. 4️⃣ Tightly seal the jar with lid and give it a good shake. I like to use parchment paper between metal lids to prevent oxidation. 5️⃣ Place in a cool dark place. Day 2-5ish 6️⃣ Check your ferment daily. Burp the jar (open the lid to release natural gases) and give it a good shake to keep all of the fruit/herbs submerged in water. Day 5ish 7️⃣ Once your ferment is good and bubbly. It’s time to strain. Strain out the fruit/ herbs. You can use an Italian soda bottle or just another glass jar. 8️⃣ Cap the lid and set aside for another day or two. Day 5-7 9️⃣ Check your soda daily until it reaches your desired fizziness. Make sure to burp it at least once a day or your bottle might explode! 🔟 Once your soda reaches your desired fizziness, store the bottle in the fridge to slow further fermentation. It will last a while in the fridge but I guarantee you’ll drink it long before it goes off 😉. Questions? Leave them in the comments. Hope you enjoy and happy crafting! ❤️ *As with any recipe, make sure to do your own research and follow your intuition about what is best for your body. #ferment #fermentation #wapf #prometabolic #soda #diy #homemade #homemadesoda #health #healthy #healthyindulgence #herbal #herbalkitchen #healingherbs #herbalism #madebynature by @thesewildflowers
