Hi, I’m Asha, founder of The Social Refresh 🌱👋🏼

I FINALLY kickstarted my own social media management biz and am over the moon! For some context, I’m a chronic planner and have been developing TSR behind the scenes for over a year now. 😅 Still learning the whole ‘messy action is better than no action’ thing.

Here’s a brief overview of my journey so far: Bachelor’s Degree in International Business & Marketing ➡️ Corporate job at an MNC ➡️ Quit & began freelancing ➡️ Biz woman era

But I’m not really into that surface level 💩 (and if you’re on my page, I know you aren’t either!) so here’s who I REALLY am…

I love…
☁️ morning lay ins (my working hours speak for itself)
☕️ the smell of spices brewing in a cup of masala chai (I’m a huge herbal tea girly too)
✨finding inspiration in everything (my notes app can attest to that)
✈️ convincing my bf we need to travel somewhere (my current efforts are on Portugal)
🐈‍⬛ cuddles with my kitties (it’s their world, I just live in it)

Now I’d love to get to know you! Leave a comment below introducing yourself and what makes you YOU, beyond the titles 🤎

The kid couldn’t have been a day over 10, but he noticed a pattern on the airport runway that completely flew over my head (pun intended 🤭)

It made me realize how much we miss when we stop looking at things with curiosity as the default.

For me, that quiet observation has always been running in the background. It used to get me points off participation on my report cards, but today it’s my ultimate swiss army knife as a Social Media Manager 🔥

Your audience doesn’t connect with perfectly polished, generic copy. They connect with the raw, itsy bitsy details… the inside jokes of your industry, the story you so excitedly told your best friend the other day, or even just the way you think.

I keep those little tidbits in the corner of my mind so your content always feels distinctively YOU 🫵🏼✨

So if you’re looking for someone who notices all the details and catches on to nuances FAST, let’s chat!

Drop me a DM with your story… I’m all ears! 🤎

Well, a simple paint activity turned into a DIY construction project, but not without offering some wisdom in the form of an ✨elite content angle✨

We all have problems and like to believe that the actions we’re taking will make things better. In reality, sometimes we’re just slapping on a band-aid and calling it a day when we really need stitches.

So if you’re stuck in a content rut, here’s your easy win for the week:

☑️ What ineffective or counterproductive actions are your ideal customers taking right now?

☑️ Why do they think it’s working or at least beneficial? Share that you get why they’d think that.

☑️ What is the actual root cause they’re dealing with?

☑️ How can YOU help them address it once and for all?

Mmm chef’s kiss 🤌🏼✨ This structure never fails, and the best part is that you can reuse it as many times as you need.

So I’m suuuper curious now.
How would you use it for your industry? 👀👇🏼

When you see a post appear on your feed, you never really know what the creator is going through.

Some women finally found the courage to start their dream business, others are trying to slow down before “thriving” becomes “barely surviving in burnout town” 😬

Whatever stage you’re in, let’s not forget that running a business is hard… and trying to figure out social media marketing somewhere along the way is even harder.

But support is free, and being kind and gentle costs nothing.

Let’s nourish one another so we can flourish together 💐

Being caught in the in between is a funny feeling…

You feel pulled down by the weight of comfort, yet compelled towards the energy of change.

And somewhere amongst it all, I hope you find the compassion to let yourself evolve with the season. Be open to new beginnings and throw away the keys to rooms that no longer serve you.

Everyone’s just tryna figure things out in this strange thing called life.

So give yourself some grace 🤎

If every reason you left corporate life has come back to haunt you in the form of social media marketing being shoved down your throat, this one’s for you 👇🏼

The freedom to wake up whenever you want, go for a fitness class midday, be more present with your family… these all beautiful perks of building your own business.

Yet somehow no matter what you do, you’re told that you’re simply not doing enough if you’re not posting on Instagram… I mean all your competitors are doing it, right? 😪

Except they’re not doing it ALONE… they have support in all the right places so they can properly function as a human being and business owner. The alternative being spreading themselves thin until they’re barely recognisable 🫠

That’s also why I choose to work with female founders specifically… because I know we take on waaay too much mental load until we physically can’t anymore, and even then, we’ll still try.

Your nervous system is BEGGING for a week-long retreat in a remote cabin, a deep tissue massage, and a much-needed refresh 🍃

💌 Talk to me about your business. I’d love to do my part in showing the world how amazing it is!!

Does this ring a bell? 👀👇🏼

You’re trying everything, but never stick to one thing for too long. Talking head reels one month, trendy carousels another.

It’s hard to decipher what’s working and what’s not.

Everything is all kinda bleugh and the stats are just as confusing.

Some posts do great and others not so much, but you never seem to generate the consistency your business needs 😪

That, my love, is the unfortunate consequence of not having a STRATEGY in place.

And no, I don’t mean a document of rules on what you can or cannot post, because honestly, limiting your creativity would be a callous mistake 🥱

I mean a guideline to show you exactly how you can connect your natural expertise and authority with the specific nuances your ideal customer’s soul is craaaving.

Because if I’ve learnt anything in this line of work, it’s that your socials start serving your business when you start posting INTENTIONALLY.

Are you ready to make that shift?? 🪄✨

You may not see the results of your efforts until A LOT later, but trust me, you’re doing alright 🫂

Social media is a long game, and I love helping you stay on track.

Not able to post? Don’t force it 🤷🏽‍♀️

I get the whole “show up even on your worst days” concept, but if you can afford not to, I’d say it’s perfectly fine to retreat into your safe space and recharge your batteries instead of squeezing a random post out of your backside 👀

When your mental capacity is maxed out, conjuring up a piece of content for the sake of saying “I showed up” is not worth it. You feel drained, anyone reading your post feels drained, and it just ends up being a waste of time and energy (for everyone!!).

I’ve been through that cycle… feeling guilty for not posting ➡️ rushing to post a mediocre piece of content ➡️ ends up not landing with my ideal clients ➡️ I get even more frustrated and stop posting 🔁 and REPEAT!

But now, I don’t feel that pit in my stomach if I miss a posting day. I know that when I do show up, I’ll have something meaningful to say that will actually move the needle in my biz… because the groundwork has already been done. That’s the power of an Instagram strategy for you: reliability 🤌🏼✨

And no one holds you accountable better than a social media manager 😉

💌 If you’ve had the late summer itch to feel more put together, I’ve got a strategy slot with your name on it!! Link in bio to inquire x
