A little bit of everything this week at the agency. Photo shoots, graphic design, social media content, and a lot of coffee. Here’s a behind-the-scenes look at running a creative agency in Fort McMurray.✨ by @thesoftedit_agency

For one week only, we’re taking over The Dancery and turning it into a content studio for local business owners.

You show up as you are. We handle the lighting, the direction, the angles and the edit. You leave with real photos and video of you, your team and your space, ready for your website and socials for months.

Nov 15–22 at The Dancery, Fort McMurray

1 hour: 15-20 edited photos + short video clips
2 hours: 25–35 edited photos + b-roll
3 hours: 50+ edited photos, team or product shots + a month’s worth of b-roll

Book 2 or 3 hours and get campaign mapping for free, so you know exactly how to use every photo and clip.

Spots are limited. Tap the link in bio or send us a DM to grab yours.

If any of these sound like something you've said to yourself lately... you're not behind, you're just busy running a business.

The truth is most of what feels like "not enough" to post is exactly what your customers want to see. The real stuff, the everyday stuff, you explaining what you do and why you care about it.

You don't need more time, more confidence on camera, or a "someday" plan. You just need someone to help you see what's already there and turn it into something worth stopping for.

That's the part we handle. You keep showing up as you. by @thesoftedit_agency

Such a hot topic rn😅

But what it can’t do is know my clients. It doesn’t know this town or the people in it. It doesn’t know what makes someone stop scrolling and actually care. That’s still on me.

So I don’t think AI is the thing to be scared of. I think not learning it is. by @thesoftedit_agency

Nobody tells you how vulnerable it feels to hit "post."

You spend two hours filming something, agonize over the caption, and then just... wait. Wondering if anyone's going to care. If it's going to flop. If people are judging the way you talk or look on camera.

Here's the thing: every business owner posting consistently online has felt this. The ones who look confident on your feed today were terrified the first (and fiftieth) time too.

Putting yourself out there isn't optional anymore if you want people to actually know your business before they walk through the door. But that doesn't mean it gets easier every time, it just means it gets more familiar.

Swipe through for the real talk on what it actually feels like behind the scenes, and why we think it's worth doing anyway. by @thesoftedit_agency

You know it’s going to be a good event when the sky shows up dressed for it.✨ by @thesoftedit_agency

Two hours. That's all it takes to get your entire month of content done.

We research, script and film and by the time we're wrapped, you've got a full month of content ready to go. Everything else? We handle it. Graphics, video editing, all of it.

No stressing about what to post next. No scrambling for content ideas at 11pm. Just two hours of your time, and the rest is taken care of.

That's the whole point - giving you your time back while your content still shows up consistently.✨ by @thesoftedit_agency

Clients before filming: "Just so you know I am NOT a camera person."

Also clients, 45 minutes later: doing three takes of the same joke because they want "the best one."

We see it every single time. The cringe fear lasts about as long as it takes to hit record. After that you're just you, and that's exactly the footage that ends up performing best. by @thesoftedit_agency

Behind the scenes at this adoption event from earlier this summer, capturing the moments that made it happen.

This is why we love covering these events. The nervous first pets, the families meeting their new best friend, volunteers running on coffee and heart, that's the stuff that actually connects. No staged shots, just what really happened in the room.
If you were there, you already know the feeling. If you weren't, hopefully this gets you a little closer to it.
Got an event coming up? This is the kind of coverage that makes people feel like they were part of something.

Kind words from a client hit different.

This is Melissa. She started out booking content shoots with me, and she's now moved on to full-time social media management. Watching that relationship grow is why we do what we do. Not the views, not the algorithm, moments like this. Hearing that the work actually landed and made a real difference is the whole point.

Local businesses don't need to look like national chains, they need to look like the real people behind them. That's what makes someone stop scrolling and actually reach out.

If you've been putting off showing up online, let this be your sign. Start with a shoot, and when you're ready, we'll take the whole thing off your plate. You just have to show up as yourself. by @thesoftedit_agency
