POSTS STORIES REELS

Exciting update! Working with the most talented @tymerbuck on the designs for the Stormy Bean. What is the worst part of a trailer/airstream???…. It’s ALWAYS the bathroom. So…the idea. F*CK it let’s cut a hole where the bathroom is and build and attached super lush bathroom!
- All black skin interior (because nobody has done this)
- dramatic wash lighting
- tons of wood components (going to bring in @benjaminschleif to crush this part)
- wood burning fire
- huge walk down bathroom with 10’ ceilings
- amazing Japanese modern flat roofline
- hanging day bed off the deck to watch sunsets over stormy lake

If we can pull this off this could possibly be the craziest airstream build ever. 🤞🏽

Working with immensely talented @vansteading & @tymerbuck on designs! This is the direction we’re leaning. Matte black with lots of wood components. What do you think?

Dump day with @schleifstudio over 2000 lbs of airstream scrap! Crazy how much 🗑️ we took out of this thing.

Exciting stage! Got new skins from @millergarage.tv mostly installed and going to the dump with piles and piles of old airstream stuff that was torn out. Going to feel so good!

Built something special for the Airstream project. Custom adjustable veneered pedestal table handcrafted by @schleifstudio

Designed to transform the space from a functional dining table when raised to a comfortable lounge setup when lowered. Clean lines, beautiful veneer work, and smart use of space exactly what this build needed.

Literal Airstream detour. Picked up this cedar-wrapped hot tub and giving it a stain to match the rest of the projects. Because honestly… who doesn’t love a hot tub?! Help with little bro @kashianthebank

@vansteading installing the prepped slats in the Airstream’s hallway to the bathroom yes, this Airstream actually has a hallway! 😄 With the downward wash lighting, they’re going to look chef’s kiss 🤌🤌

35 hours + thousands of rivets later… the interior is 98% done and ready for cabinets, plus a very special overhead lighting design by Ben.

It’s moments like this that remind you: never build an Airstream again. EVER. 🚐

After weeks of mocking up the new interior skins using temporary fasteners (klikos), we’re finally at the real-deal stage: setting every single rivet by hand. 💪 This beast has over 5,000 rivets inside — and every one is going in the old-school way: one at a time. 🥵

Let’s just say… patience is a virtue in Airstream builds. 🛠️✨

Torch in my grip, got the plank on the stand,
Shou Sugi Ban with that fire in my hand.
Lil Wayne bumpin’, “Fireman” on the track,
Cedar turnin’ black while the slow-mo snaps.

@tymerbuck on deck, got the camera locked in,
@benjaminschleif sippin’ cold brew with a spark and a grin.
We ain’t in a rush, every pass got soul,
Turning flames into grain — that char look cold.

From the Airstream dreams to the ash and the flame,
This ain’t just wood — it’s part of the name.
Watch it glow, let the process teach,
We buildin’ heat with a long slow reach.

Airstream Stormy Update:
We’ve decided to Shou Sugi Ban all the siding. It’s a labor-intensive process, but this ancient Japanese technique of burning cedar is incredible—not just for aesthetics, but for waterproofing, rodent-proofing, and insect-proofing too.

Each board now has a deep satin-black finish with a wild, crocodile-skin texture. Once it’s all done, it’s going to be stunning.

What I love most about this build is the contrast—modern Japanese craftsmanship meets classic Americana Airstream, all set in the rugged beauty of the North Woods.

Counter-designs are always my favorite. When things that “don’t belong” come together just right, the result is pure magic.
