Sometimes all you need is tea and a good book. A bit of escapism can keep you sane!
Ohh and I am starting with Rose Earl Grey then Pear and Chocolate Torte and cinnamon swirl chai....who else is reading today?

Seriously though if anyone can name a better escape let me know. Autumn was made for drinking tea and reading books! This is my vanilla chai which pairs perfectly with reading fantasy novels in bed. Find this one and lots more other teas on my website by @theteaenthusiasts

I have accidentally created a last-chance moment for you.

Our new prices start today.

However.

I still have to actually go into the website and change them, and I have not done that yet. Mostly because you all ordered so much tea over the weekend!

So, for however long it takes me to get round to it today, the old prices are still sitting there.

If you were already planning to order, this is your final little window. No code. No sale. No fake countdown clock. Just a busy team with a Monday morning to-do list.

Right. I suppose I’d better stop telling you about it and go change the prices. by @theteaenthusiasts

Buying Christmas gifts for your team, clients or customers and want to send something they might actually enjoy?

We can help.

The Tea Enthusiasts has been selling proper loose-leaf tea since 2004, and this Christmas we can turn that into a genuinely lovely little gift for the people who matter to your business.

Our letterbox tea gift starts at less than £10 delivered, so you do not need an enormous corporate gifting budget to send something thoughtful.

And we can deal with the faff.

Give us the recipient details and we can pack and post each gift directly, rather than sending you a mountain of boxes and leaving somebody in your office surrounded by labels and parcel tape.

So your customer, colleague or team member gets a little box of proper tea through their letterbox, from an independent family tea merchant, and you get to look wonderfully organised without spending an afternoon at the Post Office.

If Christmas gifting is on your list this year, now is the time to talk to us. We need enough notice to prepare and send everything properly, particularly for larger orders.

Send us a message with roughly how many people you are buying for and we can take it from there.

Of course these are all also available to purchase individually on our website! by @theteaenthusiasts

An important Tea Enthusiasts update.

Some of our prices are changing from Monday 12 October, and I wanted to explain properly why rather than quietly changing the numbers on the website.

Current prices will stay in place until the end of Sunday 11 October. There’s no discount code or clever offer attached, just fair warning if you were already running low or planning an order.

And genuinely, thank you for continuing to choose our little family tea business. I never take that for granted. by @theteaenthusiasts

This Sunday, Liza will be in Newcastle at the Boiler Shop with loads of other wonderful makers and crafters. This would be your perfect opportunity to stock up on your autumnal favourites and perhaps even grab a sneaky early Christmas gift or 2! by @theteaenthusiasts

It is chai time! This is a must watch for anyone who loves chai or who wants to know more about chai tea. We talk a little bit about the history and what makes a chia chai and then I take you through our chai range and even get a little over excited about our Christmas Teas at the end.

I hope you find it useful or a little entertaining and if you want to see more longer content on different subjects like this just let me know.
Thank you as always to all of our wonderful customers for keeping us in business for 22 years we love you all! by @theteaenthusiasts

Our Durham blend is an homage to the countryside we live in. Liza takes daily walks and these are the fruits and plants that can be seen in the hedgerows and fields of the British isles. There's also some rose for the rose window at @durhamcathedral . We are so lucky to live and work in such a beautiful place.

As always all whole natural ingredients. This tea can be taken with or without milk. Hot or iced. by @theteaenthusiasts

When the weather warms up, most people instinctively reach for squash or fizzy drinks. But have you ever tried cold brew tea?

It's ridiculously easy. Simply add loose leaf tea to cold water, pop it in the fridge for a few hours (or overnight), then pour over ice for a naturally refreshing drink that's smooth, full of flavour and wonderfully thirst-quenching.

One of the questions we're asked most often at summer events is, "Can you cold brew loose leaf tea?"

The answer is a resounding yes!

In fact, you can cold brew almost any tea. Green, black, white, oolong, fruit and herbal teas all take on their own unique character when brewed slowly in cold water. It's one of the easiest ways to enjoy tea on a hot day.

If you'd like to give it a go, we've put together a simple guide with brewing times, tips and plenty of ideas to get you started.

Now all we need is the sunshine to stick around... although this is Britain, so no promises. 😉 by @theteaenthusiasts

We'll see you in Seaham this weekend!

After a lovely weekend at Brancepeth Castle (and meeting so many fellow tea lovers – thank you if you came to say hello!), we're packing up again and heading to Seaham Food Festival this Saturday and Sunday.

If you've never been before, it's a fantastic weekend out. There are artisan food producers, street food, demonstrations from celebrity chefs, live entertainment and plenty to tempt you home with something delicious.

We'll be there with our loose leaf teas, happy to chat all things tea, help you find a new favourite and, if you're making the most of this glorious weather, recommend some brilliant teas for cold brewing too.

📍 Seaham Food Festival
🗓 Saturday: 10am–5pm
🗓 Sunday: 10am–4pm

If you're planning a visit, do come and say hello. We'd love to meet you. by @theteaenthusiasts

Who says tea is only for chilly days?

When the sun finally makes an appearance, there's something wonderfully refreshing about a jug of cold brew tea waiting in the fridge.

The best bit? It's almost ridiculously easy.

Simply add loose leaf tea to cold water, pop it in the fridge for a few hours (or overnight) and let time do the hard work. The result is a naturally smooth, refreshing drink that's full of flavour without needing sugar or syrups.

And before anyone asks... yes, you can cold brew far more than fruit teas! Green, black, white and oolong teas all have their own character when brewed this way. One of our favourites is Scottish Breakfast – smooth, malty and incredibly refreshing served over ice with a slice of lemon.

If you've never tried cold brewing before, now's the perfect excuse while the weather's on our side. There's loads more information in the blogs on the website.

Have you got a favourite tea to drink cold, or is this something you've never ventured into? by @theteaenthusiasts

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ "It's like pudding in a cup."

Now that's the sort of review we love reading.

Caramel Kiss has become an after-dinner favourite for so many of our customers. It's rich, smooth and just sweet enough to satisfy those dessert cravings, without actually reaching for dessert.

If you've got a sweet tooth but fancy trying something a little different, this might just become your new favourite too.
