To the generation that grew up on listening to CDโ€™s in store before they bought them. Running in to hopefully grab the new movie on release day. Itโ€™s all over now. Coconuts / FYE is closing up shop for good with there last location located in Evansville, IN. Itโ€™s true everything is going digital, so if you see this I hope it brings back the good memories of the good ole days! #videogames #games #closing #nintendo #Xbox #nostalgia by @thetoyaisle
Resident Evil turns 30 this year โ€” and survival horror was never the same. ๐ŸงŸ March 22, 1996: a mansion outside Raccoon City, a S.T.A.R.S. team that has no idea what's waiting, and a game Capcom almost canceled before it invented a genre. Swipe through the whole outbreak, era by era โ€” the mansion, Nemesis hunting Jill through the city, Code: Veronica going fully 3D, RE4 changing action games forever in 2005, and Requiem bringing it all back to Raccoon City this year as the fastest-selling entry in series history. Every game in this post has passed through our shop โ€” real copies, real shelf wear, real history. Follow @thetoyaisle for more retro deep dives, and tap the link in bio to shop what's on the shelf right now. Which Resident Evil scared you first โ€” the mansion, Raccoon City, or the village? ๐Ÿ‘‡ #ResidentEvil #SurvivalHorror #RetroGaming #GameCube #PS2 by @thetoyaisle
If this isnโ€™t the truth, I donโ€™t know what is. ๐Ÿ”ฅ Shout out to @gamingspens for this extremely relatable video. It also is a perfect way to wrap up the Halloween season. I hope everyone stayed safe and donโ€™t forget about those hidden gems! #Horror #videogames #games #nintendo #trending by @thetoyaisle
RESIDENT EVIL 3 NEMESIS BOSS FIGHT ๐ŸงŸ The clock tower fight still lives rent free in my head. "STARS..." ๐ŸŒŸ This is the one. Jill finally rings the bell, the rescue helicopter shows up... and Nemesis walks straight through the flames with a rocket launcher like he owns the place. No boss has ever topped this dude just REFUSING to die. New series I'm starting: I throw on the hood, fire up a classic boss fight, and we talk through the games that raised us โ€” real gameplay, real box art, zero cheese. First up is the fight that made a whole generation afraid of a trench coat. Resident Evil 3: Nemesis (1999) โ€” shorter than RE2, meaner than RE2, and somehow more intense than almost anything on the PS1. If this game raised you too, you already know. And if you've never played it... the pickup hunt is half the fun. Clean copies don't sit on shelves long. ๐Ÿ‘€ ๐Ÿ›’ Shop retro games, magazines & figures โ€” link in bio (eBay + Mercari + Vinted) ๐Ÿ’ฌ Tell me your Nemesis story below โ€” did you fight him every single time, or RUN every single time? Be honest: the first time he busted through that wall, did your heart stop? Mine did. ๐Ÿ˜… #ResidentEvil #ResidentEvil3 #Nemesis #STARS #JillValentine #RaccoonCity #SurvivalHorror #Capcom #PS1 #PlayStation #RetroGaming #90sGaming #HorrorGames #SpookySeason #HalloweenGaming #RetroGames #GameCollector #GamingCommunity #ClassicGaming #BossFight #TheToyAisle #RetroCollector #VideoGames #Gaming #Gamer by @thetoyaisle
Resident Evil 2 + 3 GameCube CIB โ€” the full 15-piece drop in 8 seconds. ๐Ÿ”ฅ RE2, Nemesis, Luigi's Mansion, WaveBird, Pokรฉmon books, Angel Goku and more, all hitting the shop now โ€” $5.99 to $169.99. GameCube Resident Evil restock โ€” RE2 and Resident Evil 3: Nemesis, both complete in box, just landed at The Toy Aisle. ๐Ÿ”ฅ Fifteen fresh finds hit the shop: the Raccoon City duo, Luigi's Mansion, a WaveBird (controller only โ€” project buyers, full details in the listing), Super Mario All-Stars, Wii Sports Resort, vintage Pokรฉmon chapter books, a Prima Pokรฉdex Collector's Edition hardcover, an Angel Wings Goku, and even a 1987 Captain Power interactive VHS still on its original card. Prices run $5.99 to $169.99, and the good stuff never sits long. Tap the link in bio to shop the drop before your grail is gone. ๐Ÿ‘† #GameCube #ResidentEvil #RetroGameCollector #SurvivalHorror Be honest: which era raised you โ€” creeping through the R.P.D. with 30 bullets to your name, or Saturday-morning Pokรฉmon chapter books? by @thetoyaisle
Pokรฉmon Sapphire (GBA) โ€” if anyone needs this ๐Ÿ’ง Full honesty up front: this is a REPRODUCTION cartridge, not an original Nintendo release. It plays through Hoenn and looks right on the shelf โ€” it just isn't the real-deal cart, and I won't pretend it is. If you want it, DM me. Survival horror debate: what is the SCARIEST game ever made? ๐ŸŽƒ Four titans enter โ€” Silent Hill 2, the Resident Evil remake, Resident Evil 2, and Dead Space โ€” but only ONE sets the Halloween mood at your house. Swipe through the contenders, then drop ONE title in the comments. Most votes gets a reel this week. Be honest: which one did you have to play with the lights ON? #silenthill2 #residentevil #deadspace #survivalhorror #retrogaming by @thetoyaisle
๐Ÿ‘‘ THE N64 WRESTLING CROWN FIGHT ๐Ÿ‘‘ Three rounds. Two legends. ONE king. ๐ŸŽฎ ROUND 1 โ€” GAMEPLAY: grapples, slams, and that AKI magic ๐Ÿ’ฅ ROUND 2 โ€” ENTRANCES: Latino Heat vs ALL the pyro ๐Ÿช‘ ROUND 3 โ€” SPECIALS: chair shots vs the Jackhammer WWF No Mercy or WCW/nWo Revenge โ€” who takes the crown?? Drop your pick and defend it like it's a rental-store argument in 2000 ๐Ÿ‘‡ #WWFNoMercy #WCWnWoRevenge #N64 #RetroGaming #WrestlingGames by @thetoyaisle
THE MAIN EVENT OF THE N64 ERA ๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ”ฅ WWF No Mercy vs WCW/nWo Revenge โ€” two kings, ONE crown, and this argument has been raging since the rental-store days. ๐Ÿ˜ค TEAM NO MERCY: the monster roster, the backstage brawls, the ladder matches, and a story mode so good we're STILL talking about it all these years later. ๐Ÿ˜Ž TEAM REVENGE: peak WCW with the nWo running wild โ€” and that AKI grapple system so smooth, every wrestling game after it copied the homework. No mercy was shown at the rental counter. NONE. So settle it once and for all ๐Ÿ‘‡ WHO WAS THE TRUE KING OF N64 WRESTLING โ€” NO MERCY OR REVENGE? #WWFNoMercy #WCWnWoRevenge #N64 #RetroGaming #WrestlingGames by @thetoyaisle
