This is operator-level preparation. We train and mentor candidates for all SOF selection pipelines- including SEAL, SWCC, EOD, Diver, Ranger, SFAS, MARSOC, PJ, CCT, TACP, and international selections like Frogman Corps. We also train public service professionals who are ready for the next challenge, both physically and mentally.

Here’s what working with our team looks like:

▪️Customized remote fitness programming designed to get results -fast. Built around your current level and selection goals: run mileage, swim progression, strength, rucking, calisthenics, pool skills, and full screening test prep.

▪️Direct access to coaches through private chat, 1:1 coaching calls, plus weekly mentorship Zoom calls. Our team guides you every step of the way.

▪️App-tracked programming + weekly feedback. We review your lifting, calisthenics, swim technique, pool skills, and running form. Helping you break plateaus and level up faster.

▪️Weekly Zoom mentorship calls.
Learn directly from a former Navy SEAL, former Navy Diver, former Army Ranger, and our in-house nutrition/movement coach. No matter the SOF pipeline you’re training for, you’re covered.

▪️App-delivered Training Academy. 20+ hours of exclusive video lessons teaching you how to think like an operator, not just train like one. Created by two former NSW instructors.

▪️Monthly in-person training events at our gym in North Carolina. (Optional to attend) Led by our coaches- pool competency days, open-water swims, gym sessions, run training, movement clinics, and more. Train alongside a community of warriors.

▪️Mental fortitude training. Cold water immersion, breath work, mindfulness, and mindset development.

▪️FireTeam accountability. Stay sharp with your warrior peers. Daily support. Daily challenge. No lone wolves here.

This is why SOF candidates are unsuccessful at selection:👇

1. They focused ONLY on the screening test in their fitness training. Everyone shows up with a passing screening test. Yet many wash out. Prepare for what you will face DURING the selection pipeline. The PST is a warmup and pretty much only for the recruiting process.

2. They neglected strength training. You may be fast, but are you strong enough? Don’t arrive weak and quit because you were “holding your boat crew back”. Boats and logs will take your soul if you are weak. Train to be an asset. Leg strength and full body strength are a must. Be ready for hot laps around the o-course with a log and land portage with a boat. This takes strength.

3. They increased their running volume too quickly, resulting in injury. Many people break down during selection due to too little volume in their run training. Others get injured because they go full-send into a 20+ miles of running week and set themselves back due to overuse injuries. Set your ego aside, give yourself enough time, and follow a structured run plan. It’s a running man’s game. Be a gazelle.

4. They underestimated how long it will take to prepare, shipping out too soon. I trained for three years before I shipped to BUD/S- and even still it was hard. Don’t jump the gun and arrive unprepared. Any weakness you have will be the reason that you don’t make it. Give yourself time to mature, train, and prepare. Arrive fit, healthy and locked on.

5. They were uncommitted to their goal, with a weak or nonexistent reason WHY they want to become an operator. It better be enough to take you through hell and back. Stop negotiating with yourself about what you want to do or what path to follow. You won’t be able to train hard enough or stay disciplined if your goal is unclear. Go all in, committing 100%.

Only those who are obsessed achieve greatness. You are preparing to become an operator. Be a professional now. 🔱

Hard work alone won’t get you there.

I’ve watched committed people grind themselves into the ground and still fall short at selection. Not because they lacked heart. Because they were putting maximum effort into the wrong things.

So let me ask you something:
Is what you’re doing right now actually working?
Did you hit your training benchmarks this past quarter?
Or are there gaps in your preparation you’ve been hoping won’t matter when it counts?

Because if you’re running the same program everyone else is running, you’re going to get the same results everyone else gets. Plateaus. Stalled progress. Minimal structure. Low intensity. Lack of emphasis on mental resilience. And too many guys are showing up to selection underprepared and going straight to the fleet because of it.

That’s why I built The Warrior Calling the way I did.

We train the whole warrior. Four pillars that separate those who make it from those who don’t:

⚡ Physical - personalized to your current fitness level, goals, timeline, and available equipment. No cookie-cutter programming, not a PDF.

🧠 Mindset - we build the mental fortitude to push through setbacks, adversity, and the moments selection is specifically designed to break you.

🎯 Skills - our coaches teach the techniques and knowledge you’ll need at selection and throughout your career as an operator.

🔥 Spirit - we lock in your WHY. Because when your body wants to quit, your reason for being there is what keeps you moving forward. You develop GRIT.

We only coach, mentor, and train people who are serious about becoming the best version of themselves. And the results speak for themselves.

Growth happens when you show up to the right program and put in the work.

This is Elite Performance Coaching and Mentorship.

$Hell Week doesn’t just test your body. It exposes your character. Most candidates show up with grit. Determination. A never-quit attitude. And yet many ring the bell. Because there’s a layer beneath all of that. Deeper than mental toughness. It’s an unbreakable WHY. When your body is wrecked, and your mind starts negotiating, only your heart and spirit keep you moving. The gap is widening between those who arrive ready to perform and those who arrive just trying to survive. You have to understand that it is a competition. And the standards are very high. Without going into too many specifics- the number of DORs and performance rolls/drops at BUD/S recently is staggering. 200+ start prep, sometimes under 20 finish Hell Week and advance in training. Instructors at selection are reporting that candidates are arriving WAY underprepared. Pay attention if you’re training to become a Navy SEAL. 👇 You must train for the job you want, don’t leave it up to chance. BUD/S is a 6-month-long job interview. Then it’s another 6 months of qualifying training in SQT (SEAL Qualification Training). You must be mentally prepared for the long haul, yet fully present in the moment. And it’s survival of the fittest. Remember, a never-quit mindset is great, but timed standards are timed standards. Show up well within passing standards for the 4-mile run and 2-nautical mile swim. If you are not running and rucking at the necessary volume before going to BUD/S, you may get stress fractures. Get your legs ready BEFORE showing up. The weak links go away. Bottom performers find themselves out from under the boat or log. Hot laps around the o-course with the log and land-po with IBS reveal those who trained and those who neglected their preparation. Be an asset to your team. You must man up and have courage, strength and bulldog tenacity. For most people, being prepared for selection in 3-6 months is not a realistic timeframe. I spent three years training for BUD/S. If you wait to start training until you get your contract or show up at prep, it will be too late. 🔱Comment ELITE to take ownership of your preparation for Navy SEAL selection. #navyseals #hellweek by @thewarriorcalling$

Water confidence can be the difference between making it through selection and going home.

It starts with emotion control. Every drill I run in the pool is built around one thing: calm, controlled composure during skills execution under pressure. Then we go progressive. Each session pushes trainees further outside their comfort zone until that zone doesn’t exist anymore.

This isn’t random pool time. It’s a system pulled directly from BUD/S 1st and 2nd Phases. The same framework used to build Navy SEAL water confidence, refined through years of real-world operational experience.

The result? Trainees leave more composed, more capable, and mentally harder. In the water and everywhere else.

Because if you can master fear in the water, you can master it anywhere. That transfers to selection, your career, and how you handle adversity when it hits.

If the water makes you nervous, it’s time to change that. The water should become your second home.

Everyone says they want it. Everyone says “I just won’t quit”. Everyone wants to be a frogman when it’s warm and sunny out. Things get real interesting when Mother Nature gets involved and the competition surrounding you is fierce. It’s not about survival. It’s about performance.

It’s time to level up.
Find your limits and break them.
Be your strictest critic.
Put in the work that others aren’t willing to do.

Interested in working with our team?
▪️You must be willing to get out of your comfort zone.
▪️You must be coachable to learn from those who have been there-done-that.
▪️You must be 100% committed to your goal.

We won’t hold your hand. YOU must take ownership of your training and your goals.

Comment OPERATOR if you’re already taking consistent action on your training and ready to take it to the next level.

Mastering the combat sidestroke (CSS) requires two things: honing specific techniques and staying consistent at practicing them.

If you are struggling to swim faster than 10:00 for 500 yards, more than likely it’s because of your technique. Let’s fix that.

Here are my top 5 points of performance to learn:👇

1- Reduce drag: Focus on keeping your body as low in the water as possible. Think about keeping your arms, hands, and head in the water. Anything that comes out of the water creates drag. Don’t swim with board shorts or shorts with pockets. Use swim jammers or something similar.

2- Dial in the streamline position: The goal is to glide your way across the pool in as few strokes as possible. 4-6 strokes max to cross a 25m pool. You can glide either on your chest or side- then roll to get your mouth above the surface to take a breath. The streamline glide position should be with both arms in front of you, elbows locked, stack hands, biceps on your ears- tuck your chin to make this position easier. Think about swimming “downriver” think about swimming “downstream”. Smooth is fast.

3- Use the wall to your advantage: Go AS FAR AS POSSIBLE off the wall. Get some depth in the water, do a double arm pull (optional), then come up when your body rises to the surface at the end of your glide - going into your first stroke.

4- Use an active airway: Breathe out underwater before coming up - that way you can exhale when you are up on the surface. Too many people hold on to their breath until the last second, ending up feeling winded and exhausted. Steadily breathe out when your head is under the water, breathe into your belly. This is a game-changer.

5- Incorporate a strong scissor: Use a kick board and practice laps with just your scissor kick. Focus on using your hips and glutes for power. Touch point is your big toes. Then do quick short flutter kicks in between scissor kicks to maintain your forward movement and to keep your feet from dropping. Build that power in the kick!

You’re standing at a crossroads right now.

On one side is the calling you feel pulling at you. That deep knowing that you’re meant for something more. On the other side is the safe path, the one where you let it pass by and wonder “what if” for the rest of your life.

Here’s what I need you to understand: Following your calling isn’t some magical guarantee. It’s not a golden ticket to success. There’s real risk here. You could fail. You could fall flat on your face. And that’s exactly why most people never even try.

But let me ask you something: When has anything worth doing ever been easy?

That uphill battle you’re facing right now? It’s not a sign you’re on the wrong path. It’s proof you’re on the right one. Every obstacle, every setback, every moment you want to quit-it’s all forging you into the person you need to become. You’re not just chasing a goal. You’re being refined. Strengthened. Prepared for what’s coming next.

Warriors don’t wait for permission. They don’t hope things get easier.

They step forward when everyone else steps back. They face the darkness, the adversity, the uncertainty head-on. Not because they’re fearless, but because they know their purpose is bigger than their fear.

You’re different. You feel it. That’s why you’re still reading this.

So heed the call. Stop tiptoeing around it. Stop waiting for the “right time.” Go all-in. The only direction that matters now is forward.

Lean into the resistance. Let it build you. Because on the other side of this adversity is a version of you that’s stronger, more resilient, and ready for whatever battle comes next.

The question isn’t whether you’re ready. The question is: will you answer the call?

There is a big difference between passing on paper and arriving at your selection pipeline ready to PERFORM. Passing a screening test is just one check in the box. Don’t confuse it for being ready for selection.

There’s passing on paper, and then there’s being competitive at selection. The standard to be competitive at selection is WAY higher.

Train so you arrive ready to not just survive, but to perform. I’ll help you get there. Comment ELITE if you’re ready to get serious about your training.

Don’t let your lack of guiding practice be the reason you fail an ocean swim. Too many people under-prepare when it comes to long-distance swimming. It takes time and dedicated effort to achieve the endurance and skill necessary to be successful.

If you don’t learn how to guide correctly and swim in a straight line, then you will add extra time to your swim. Ultimately, you may fail a swim when you get to selection if you show up unprepared.

Here are some open water swimming points of performance that we hammer with our team:👇

1. Guiding: Start by finding a fixed and prominent point (target) in the distance, in the direction that you need to swim towards. Use the object in the distance as a reference point to guide to until the official turn around buoy or target comes into view. Don’t spend too much time on the surface finding your guiding object. Your momentum in the water is slowed the more time you spend on the surface. Determine how many strokes you can take before you need to come up to guide again, ensuring you stay in a straight line. The best swimmers are the ones conditioned for endurance, able to guide, and swim in a straight line.

2. Buddy Work: Learn how to communicate with your swim buddy and be in-sync with them in the water. Communication is key when you’re on open water swims.

3. Learn how to swim on both your right and left side while swimming the sidestroke. That way you can face your buddy during the swim, communicate with and keep tabs on him.

👉Train for the 1,000m, 1 and 2 nautical mile swims BEFORE arriving at selection. These are all tested distances at BUD/S and many other selection pipelines. Arrive ready to perform.

The time to train is NOW. Rather than play catch-up…while drinking through a fire hose when you arrive at selection. Train like you want the job. Prepare like a pro. 🔱

We start all of our SOF training events with mindfulness and breathwork. It’s not rushed. It’s not forced.

It’s deeply personal for each individual. The body follows where the mind leads. On the path to special operations selection, mental resilience isn’t an option; it’s everything.

As an operator, your ability or inability to own your emotions and control your mental and physical state in the midst of chaos is the difference between mission success and failure.

Fear will hold you back if you allow it to, your emotions leading you to do nothing- or shrink back. This is the first real test. Most people hit resistance, and quietly turn back. That silent retreat? That’s the moment that defines you.

We train our team members through mental tactics and body awareness with the ability to down-regulate before, during, and after moments of high stress or pressure. This skill will carry them through not only their selection pipelines, but when it truly matters- when they are special operators.

This is an absolute game changer.

Physical readiness is a given. But elite performance requires something deeper. The skill set of down regulation gives our team members more confidence. More certainty. More capability.

Preparation goes far beyond just the physical. 👉 Send this post to someone you know training for SOF selection.
