Vote blue. I just did. Here’s my justification for why, because candidly, both parties have their issues: 💙🩵💙🩵💙🩵 The wealth gap between the richest Americans and everyone else has reached unsustainable levels. This concentration of wealth and power at the tippy top is a symptom of late stage capitalism. And before you call me a socialist, the exact same thing happens in ANY economic system - soc, comm, cap, take your pick - when there aren’t enough rules and regulations to check the growth and balance of power and wealth. Trump has earned billions in office, mostly from his crypto offerings and brand deals, while driving inflation higher because he imposed tariffs and took the US to war in Iran on Netanyahu’s bidding. The Federal Reserve was poised to lower interest rates at the start of this year. But the Iran War drove up energy prices so much (war is also why inflation spiked hard under Biden - because Putin’s attack on Ukraine drove up energy prices) that inflation has not moderated. In fact, it is worsening. The root cause of the anger and discontent from both parties is that most Americans feel they cannot get ahead, no matter how hard they work. There isn’t enough, unless you are in the richest 1% or higher, at which point the wealth gap increases at an astounding rate. Vote for the party that understands this gap and actually acknowledges this is a root cause. But as long as billionaires control politicians and are political themselves, this will not end. Why are interest rates so high and why does it spook investors so much? Why doesn’t the Fed just lower #interestrates? #macroeconomics #federalreserve #inflationcrisis by @thewin.finance
How much is it to eat out in your city? Let me know the average for how many people at a nice restaurant. Not Michelin star, just nice. I’m collecting some data. by @thewin.finance
Absolute hideous week in markets - let’s break down what’s behind it. It comes down to interest rates being higher for longer. For companies borrowing a lot of money, higher rates eat into their future earnings, which investors do not like, because investing is based on expectations for future earnings. Why not lower interest rates then? The Federal reserve can’t, because inflation is not disinflating (as we saw from CPI). We have tariffs and the Iran War to thank for persistent inflation. #investinginfo #stockmarketnews #inflation #marketcrash by @thewin.finance
