Come jam on Sunday, the 18th, 3-6pm at The Woods [1826 Palmetto St. in Ridgewood] 🫀Class into open jamming with Shannon Yu

this is an affinity space for Black, Indigenous, or any person of color / people of the global majority. the BIPOC jam is a free gathering held every third sunday 💞 by @thewoods1826

long time no see on the grid! ICYMI, @uwillconsumeus and @spornographer got to speak about The Woods on @newtownradio this morning. Check out the archive recording at the link in bio (we’re the first hour) - we gave lots of shout outs to the badass artists who have done work at The Woods over the years, plus other spaces and orgs we are lucky to be in community with, and clarify that we are NOT the bar in Williamsburg with the same name :) thx @coolpix_nyc for inviting us! by @thewoods1826

Last days to donate to our campaign! Help us to get closer to our $10,000 goal which will go a long way in maintaining the space and pay the rent.
Go to the GoFundMe link in bio
You can also help us by promoting our space, have your next photo shoot, dance class, or performance event with us.
We are purely fueled by the labor of a small group of artists and our renters. No grants, no government or foundation funding. But autonomous movements can’t survive without the involvement of the community.

Thank you to everyone who has donated ❤️ and to all the artists, audience members and volunteers who were a part of our holiday extravaganza!

THANK YOU to everyone who attended, performed or volunteered at our Fundraiser Holiday Party Extravaganza earlier this month!! It was so wonderful to celebrate The Woods all together as a community. The space would not exist without YOU!

Adding up our ticket, bar and raffle sales from the fundraiser to our GoFundMe, we are nearly $6k towards our 10k goal! 🥳

WE NEED YOUR HELP!
We are extending our fundraiser deadline through the end of the weekend to make a final push towards the finish line!

If you are able, please DONATE & SHARE to help us reach our goal by January 5!!! and thank you to everyone who has donated already 💗

Thank you, our dear community, for helping to keep The Woods a vibrant & beautiful space to create this past year. We can’t wait for 2025 with you all!

HAPPY NEW YEAR & let’s keep the art alive!
Love,
The Woods Team
