This may be an uncomfortable conversation, especially in many African families, but it’s one worth having.

The reality is, when someone passes away, the emotional loss is already heavy. The financial burden shouldn’t have to fall on the same family that is grieving.

GoFundMe is not a legacy plan.
A WhatsApp group asking friends and colleagues for contributions is not a financial strategy.

For those of us who weren’t born into wealth, we have an opportunity to change what the next generation inherits.

And sometimes, that starts with a conversation with our parents.

If your parents qualify and you have an insurable interest, helping them put proper life insurance and final-expense planning in place may be one way to protect the family from unexpected costs and intentionally create a legacy.

We may not have been born rich, but we can make decisions that change what being born into our family means for the next generation.

Have the conversation.
Plan while you still have the opportunity to plan.

Life insurance isn’t about expecting death.
It’s about making sure the people you love aren’t financially devastated when it eventually comes.

Every excuse in this post sounds reasonable… until life proves it wrong. 🚫

“My spouse will figure it out.”
“I have coverage through work.”
“I’m healthy, I’ll do it later.”
“I’m single, who needs it?”

Sound familiar? These are the exact reasons families end up financially devastated after losing someone they love.

Protection isn’t something you buy when you need it. It’s something you buy so you never have to find out what happens if you don’t have it. 🛡️

Swipe through, and be honest with yourself: which excuse have you been telling yourself? 👇

It’s Life Insurance Awareness Month 🎗️

Most people think life insurance is about dying.

The wealthy understand that it can also be about living.

They don’t just use life insurance to leave money behind. they use properly structured policies in several ways:

✅ Access living benefits after a qualifying illness

✅ Create supplemental, potentially tax-free retirement income

✅ Maintain liquidity for emergencies and opportunities

✅ Support college planning

✅ Accumulate cash value on a tax-deferred basis

✅ Avoid depending on GoFundMe or the family WhatsApp group

✅ Develop a strategy for accelerating mortgage payoff

✅ Transfer wealth to the next generation

✅ Support estate and legacy planning

✅ Protect businesses through key-person coverage

Stop focusing only on what life insurance is. Start understanding what it can do.

Watch the video and message me “LIFE” to explore the right strategy for your family, income, or business .

I shared my story. You responded. And families got protected.

After my last post, 5 families reached out.

So far, we’ve helped 3 families put protection in place, and we’re currently reviewing coverage for 2 others to answer one important question:

Does your life insurance only show up when you die? OR can it also show up for you while you’re still alive?

What made this even more meaningful was how far the message traveled.

🇨🇦 Two families reached out from Canada, and we were able to help them get protected.

🇳🇱 A gentleman reached out from the Netherlands. Although we don’t currently write business there, I was still able to educate him and point him in the right direction.

That’s bigger than a post to me.

The vision is 1 MILLION properly protected families.

My goal is to help families understand what they own before life forces them to find out the hard way.

I know what it feels like to experience a major health crisis and realize the protection you thought you had doesn’t necessarily protect the life you’re still living.

That’s why this mission is personal.

Already have life insurance?

You don’t necessarily need another policy. You need to understand the one you have.

Book a complimentary Protection Review with me and my team. We’ll review your current coverage, explain what it actually does, identify potential gaps, and help you understand your options.

PROTECT THE LIFE YOU ARE LIVING, NOT JUST THE ONE YOU LEAVE BEHIND. by @theygbrand

The surgery saved my life.

The recovery changed my career.

People assume the hardest part of a serious illness is surviving it.

For me, surviving was only the beginning.
For seven months I couldn’t earn an income.
My employer’s benefits weren’t designed for what I was experiencing.

Health insurance helped pay the hospital.
It didn’t pay my mortgage.
It didn’t replace my income.
It didn’t eliminate the thousands I still owed in deductibles and copays.

My family carried a burden I never expected them to carry.
That experience completely changed how I think about financial protection.

Today, my mission isn’t to scare people into buying insurance.

It’s to educate families so they understand what they have, what they don’t have, and how to build a plan that fits their goals.

Because life doesn’t always take people away.
Sometimes it leaves them here with medical bills, lost income, and financial decisions they never expected to make.

If you’ve only relied on your employer’s benefits, it may be worth understanding exactly what they do and don’t cover.

DM me “PROTECT” for a complimentary protection review.
No sales pressure. Just education.

What if your business could access capital without relying on traditional lenders every time you needed cash?

The Infinite Banking Concept is a strategy many business owners use to create a pool of capital that can help fund opportunities while building long-term financial security.

Here’s how it works:
✔️ Build cash value inside a properly structured participating whole life policy.
✔️ Access that cash value through policy loans when your business needs capital.
✔️ Use it for equipment, payroll, inventory, expansion, or unexpected opportunities.
✔️ Repay yourself on your own schedule.
✔️ Continue building a long-term asset for your family and your business.

For qualifying business owners, strategies like an IRC §162 Executive Bonus Plan may also create tax advantages. Always work with your CPA and a licensed financial professional to determine whether it’s appropriate for your situation.

The goal isn’t to replace your bank.
The goal is to create another source of liquidity that you control.

💬 Comment “BANK” and I’ll send you an educational overview of how business owners use this strategy.

The hardest part of entrepreneurship isn’t building the business, it’s building yourself.

Every challenge forces you to become more disciplined.
Every setback teaches resilience.
Every rejection develops confidence.
Every win is earned through the person you’ve become.

The business will only grow to the level of the entrepreneur leading it.

Keep investing in your mindset, your character, your skills, and your habits. That’s the real competitive advantage.

Who you’re becoming is worth more than what you’re building.

What’s one lesson entrepreneurship has taught you about yourself?
