Silly adventures with my Smiling Friends aka my sisters—in one of the most jam-packed, psychotic, magical, fun 24-hour periods of my entire life! All the way from Boston to Brooklyn just for a pop-up event for a silly cartoon! With an AMAZING collective effervescence from the people that I love the most and amazing strangers. Not a single moment without laughter, or smiles! I love life!! Cartoons are so wonderful! I love cartoons, Charlie, I LOVE CARTOONS‼️‼️‼️ AND thank you @adultswim for featuring me and this stupid sexy shirt I designed ❤️🧀 by @thicklywhimsical

It’s been officially TEN years now since I’ve converted to a non-binary and came out as Golapi! (Yes, the Bengali word for both the color pink 💖 and for the flower rose 🌹) The defining turning point in my life when I learned that it’s MY body, so I get to choose MY name and MY gender, no matter how ~silly and fake~ it looks!!! “Be yourself” finally sounded intelligible to me! Ten years since I graduated high school, and lately I’ve been thinking so much about my high school self. I can’t believe it was a thing that just …happened. Years of pressure, debilitating depression, all-nighters and all-dayers, all just to pass my classes. Neglected by the system that was supposedly building me up for success. All I can see is a kid that just needed a hug every day after school. My peers were always miles ahead of me—in intelligence, talent, social life, greatness, everything. It’s impossible to not compare yourself when you’re a small fish in a sea of great white sharks. I see how they’re doing today. Admittedly I still feel small in comparison. I’m not married, or even in love. I don’t make a whole ton of money. Not a doctor, an engineer, CEO, or any South Asian parent fantasy. Not a notable figure, nor a homeowner. BUT there only really can be one Golapi like me! Colorful and stupid and bighearted ol’ me 🌈 A loved member of all the communities I’ve ever wanted to be a part of. Unabashedly and annoyingly queer. Lucky to live under a roof with my bestest friends. Currently a humble social worker. Still an aspiring artist who hopes to share their love and joy to the world by making cartoons. Inspiring people through the fulfillment of my life, not by success. My life was almost cut short just ten years ago …if I didn’t get pulled off the ledge at 18, I would have never lived to seen the beauty of being liberated. To feel human. To my 18 year old self…I love you so much, and I love you forever! If I could go back in time, I’d be there for you every single day, as the role model that you needed in your life! Thank you for getting me to where I am today! 💖💖💖💖💖 by @thicklywhimsical

The Karim siblings back in action for PAX 2025!!! Big thanks to @officialpax_ for giving us a space to run around like big goofs—my sis and I made these for Halloween a few years ago and we didn’t get much recognition. So to be stopped so many times to get our photos taken, the kiddos who pointed at us excitedly, fellow Sonic fans excited to see us, people taking pictures from afar and telling us how they admired us from the other side of the convention—best con experience ever ☺️💙🧡 Now wondering where we should show it off next 🤔‼️ (shout out also to @hudhihu also for joining us and putting up with us all day ❤️) #paxeast #paxeast2025 #sonicthehedgehog #sonic #tails #paxcosplay by @thicklywhimsical
