Ryan surfing a self shaped radical 12ft twin.

One of my favorite surfers to film, I’m constantly getting excited by his passion for shaping but also riding. His explanations of water dynamics often go over my head - they don’t quite form images in my imagination but I can tell he views these concepts in such dynamic ways that translate into his shaping when he is designing something for someone or just in his models in general. Be sure to hit him up if you are looking for a new board.

The slow motion really allows one to appreciate what is going on-

Yesterday was so great in surfing but also the people.
Started my morning meeting Lewis while I was flying before my surf session. He was about to fly as well so the timing was great. Such nice flying!

Thank you for all the aloha and capturing this moment!

I love the contrast of the blue and red. Nice to catch friends on fun waves -

Always a pleasure to capture the homies doing great. Sometimes there’s a plan to shoot, sometimes I just take a moment to go check out the waves before paddling out, hoping that I capture someone I know looking cool.

Jon has been a real one, and I really appreciate his energy out in the water and the encouragement he’s given me to go outside of my comfort zone and try new spots this past year up north- and I am sure there will be more

Sometimes you never know what you might witness out there … sometimes there’s a window of so much potential with the waves that come through and the surfers that are present and you never know how it will all unfold until it does.

filming for the sake of it sometimes doesn’t always work out, the waves might be junk, the sun light might be unfavorable, the timing might be bad.

I am always thankful when timing lines up for some cool moments to be captured.

Here is one such moment: Anela getting a barrel
in Waikiki before the storm hit.
