🥂✨ 50 YEARS. HALF A CENTURY. ✨🥂

50 years ago, my Mom and Dad said “I do”… and somehow they’re still putting up with each other. 😂❤️

They got married in 1976, when:
🎶 ABBA, Elton John & Fleetwood Mac were on the radio
🍎 Apple was just being founded
💰 Gas was about 59¢ a gallon
🏠 The average new house cost around $44,000
🎬 Rocky hit theaters
🇺🇸 America was celebrating its 200th birthday
📱 And nobody had a cell phone, Google, Instagram or a clue what Wi-Fi was 😂

Since then, they built a life, raised a family, became grandparents and watched the entire world change around them.

5 decades. 600 months. More than 18,000 days together. ❤️

Through the vacations, holidays, family dinners, arguments, laughs, hard times, good times and all those ordinary little days that end up meaning the most they’ve done it together.

Marriage isn’t 50 years of everything being perfect. It’s 50 years of choosing each other over and over again. And that’s pretty damn special.

1976 → 2026

Still married.
Still going.
Still driving each other crazy. 😂
And still doing life together.

And the celebrating isn’t over yet… ✈️🇪🇺❤️

I can’t wait to celebrate 50 years of you two with the trip of a lifetime next year 20 days, 6 countries, Europe together as a family. 🌍🥂

After 50 years of memories, it’s time to go make a whole bunch more. ❤️

Happy 50th Anniversary, Mom & Dad. ❤️

Love you both more than you know!

Now let’s celebrate HALF A FREAKING CENTURY!!! 🥂🎉❤️ by @thomaspolcari

Peace is the new luxury… 😎

Just found out today that Herman crossed over the rainbow bridge. 🌈 2013-2026

From the moment I saw you in the pet store, I knew you were the one. Thank you for all the years, all the fun times, all the smelly farts, all the crazy noises, the snoring… all of it.

Even though I haven’t seen you in a few years, I still thought about you all the time. I always looked at your pictures and kept your memory alive in my heart.

I love you, Herman! 🐰💕
