One of the hardest parts about trauma is that life doesn’t pause while you’re carrying it.

The world STILL expects you to go to work, to be a good parent, to complete chores, and to be present in your relationships...while still carrying that invisible weight on your shoulders.

If you’ve been surviving while trying to live at the same time, we see you. We hope you know this: you don’t have to keep carrying it alone. Healing is possible, and you deserve support that helps lighten the weight. 🤍 by @thrivewellbc

Massage is BACK at Thrive and we are so excited to tell you about Nathan!

Nathan is a pre-licensed body worker (soon to be a massage therapist) who is practising at a reduced rate until upcoming exam completion.

In February & March 2026, Nathan will be practicing at a reduced rate to demonstrate after completing all of his coursework.

A bit about Nathan :

Nathan uses a range of evidence-informed techniques, including Swedish massage, deep tissue methods, myofascial release, joint mobilizations, therapeutic exercise, and other orthopedic and neuro-musculoskeletal approaches.

“I’ve spent most of my life in the Fraser Valley and have always valued movement and time outdoors, which continues to shape how I work with the body. My background as a student-athlete in football and track and field gave me an early understanding of how the body responds to training, injury, and recovery.

In the treatment room, I bring a steady, attentive presence and a calm approach, listening carefully and addressing each patient’s needs. This allows me support people seeking care for everyday tension, ongoing concerns, or complex, long-standing conditions.”

Please help us to welcome Nathan, we are so glad you are here!

Overthinkers, this one’s for you!

We know your mind loves to circle back to what went wrong, what you should have said, and what might happen next. That’s often a sign of how much you care.
But you’re allowed to give the good moments that same attention too!

Linger on the compliment. Replay the win. Notice how far you’ve come, you’re doing amazing things 🫶🏼

And if your thoughts feel too loud to quiet on your own, we’re here to help.

More times than not “you look happier” isn’t because life suddenly got easier or simpler.

Sometimes it’s because you stopped trying to control every unknown, started asking for help, remembered that you deserve good things, AND finally gave yourself permission to rest.

Happiness can look a lot like learning to be a little gentler & kinder with yourself.

And sometimes, that’s where the biggest changes begin 🫶🏼

It’s Thursday and this week we are on schedule to feature team member…Lana!

Lana Plummer works at our Abbotsford office and fun fact- has been at that location since the very beginning.

After an incredible career with the RCMP, Lana retired and became a Registered Clinical Counsellor.

“Clients can often feel guarded as they consider therapy, afraid that there is something wrong with them, and that shining light on their deepest thoughts or feelings may create discomfort or unease for those who hold the flashlight. This can leave them feeling stuck, trapped in the shame of their emotions, and very alone. I assure you that there is nothing too dark or too scary for you to share with me, as my previous career in policing has given me strong shoulders, resilience to darkness, and absolute clarity in knowing that every single person has a story and a path as unique as their fingerprint”.

If you’re interested in working with Lana reach out to our office 604.705.4000 or email info@thrivewellbc.com

Come visit, thrive well 🫶🏼

Grief doesn’t always look like tears or falling apart. Sometimes it looks like getting through the day on autopilot, smiling because it’s easier than explaining, or quietly carrying a loss that no one else can see.

We are here to help you- even when its hard to ask 🩷 by @thrivewellbc

Rich because I get to be someone’s safe place 🫶🏼

There’s something incredibly meaningful about being trusted with the parts of someone’s story they may not feel safe sharing anywhere else…at the simplest level this is what therapy is all about.

Therapy isn’t about having all the answers. Sometimes it’s about creating a space where someone can show up exactly as they are, feel heard without judgement, and know they don’t have to carry everything alone.

At Thrive, we really want to be that someone for you.
If you’re looking for that safe space, please consider reaching out to us, we would be truly honoured.
