POSTS STORIES REELS

Hi friends! I figured it was time I officially introduced myself here 🤍 I’m Lexi — originally from the mountains of Colorado but now soaking up the sunsets of Kansas 🌾. I moved here to rodeo for the Fort Hays State University Rodeo Team, and life has kept me here ever since.

These days, I work full-time as an ER nurse, and photography is my creative outlet on the side. I’m married to my best friend, Dom, and we’re raising two crazy pups, Waylon + Tripp 🐾. When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll usually find me working out, riding my horse, or spending time with my little family.

Photography lets me slow down, chase the light, and capture the meaningful moments that make life so sweet. Thanks for being here — I can’t wait to share more with you all!

One year ago I didn’t post these, it didn’t feel like the time was right. I wanted these pictures to resemble how the community of Hays came together when we lost one of our own, Sgt. Scott Heimann. Most importantly, I wanted these pictures to come to his family first, when the time was right. And a huge thank you to one of my past clients they did, a few months later.

The day I listened to the end of watch over the radio at work, I needed a second. And honestly as an ER nurse we learn to just move on, we don’t take a second. But this one stung. Our ER staff knows many of our police officers, as we work pretty closely with them at times. But I think sometimes we become naive to all they do for our community and the sacrifices they make.

So one year later I post these. I post these to remember the life of one of our own who was killed in the line of duty. I post these to remind us of the sacrifices our first responders take. From an ER nurse who is grateful for all of our first responders - Police, Firefighters, & EMS.
