Joined the @thu_official golden ticket this year! the theme was “your personal oasis” this is my take on it!

The forest of stories,

My personal oasis is a place in my imagination where I go to get inspired. Everything is done by hand, and stories are abundant. A forest with beings who share their knowledge and conviviality. The central character is a wise and loving treeman who enjoys telling and drawing the stories of old. He symbolizes the masters who inspire me to grow as a person and artist.

It was painted with watercolors and some slight adjustments digitally. I find by working traditionally it gives an extra layer of authenticity.

unfortunately i didn’t make top 3 but it was a great learning experience😄

Mr.Incredible animation sheet from Imagination! Had allot of fun with this one! by @timvangalen_art

Mr. Incredible in his glory days! Did this drawing for fun! Really love @teddy2newton and Tony Fucile’s artwork for this movie, great simple design.

The incredibles is one of my favorite movies of all time and the costumes of Mr. Incredible, Elastigirl and Frozone are so great.

Thanks for this great movie @pixar, @therealbradbird!😎 by @timvangalen_art

A bit late for May the 4th, but here is one of my favorite characters of all time.

Yoda from the original trilogy is so special! Created by George Lucas, Designed and built by Stuart Freeborn. An actual tangible puppet, puppeteered and voiced by Frank Oz. It gives the character so much liveliness, and the functionality of it being a hand puppet gives it so much character in the shape, how he moves, etc.

With this age of AI, I feel we need more tangible creations that are actually physically in the space. It has limitations, but these limitations give it so much character! Just like how everyone has their imperfections or things we fall short on, but these things make us interesting and unique.
This is why I love puppets, animatronics, and all practical effects. They just can't be beaten in terms of believability to me.

I noticed I never posted this guy! But he is a great traveling musician worthy of some recognition😁 Meet Earl the Eel Bluefish!

He sings songs to touch the soul, helping sailors and even pirates through the hard everyday life in Scurvy Harbor, all while earning a few pennies of his own.
