💀 FUNKY SKULLS 💀

Hehe im proud of these lil guys. My last couple months (while also adapting to a new 9-5 job) I focused on getting my process nailed down for making flash as this was a super important thing for me personally to get comfy with as part of this apprenticeship. I'm very much a process-oriented learner and the HOW I do things matters a lot in my brain. When I'm putting ink on paper, I'm actively trying to carry my lines all the way through from end to end, get used to keeping my canvas in one spot and moving my body to get the smoothest line, and practicing that "stretch" on the paper as if its skin.

While I have done a lot less practicing on fake skin recently, it has all been in an effort to get more comfortable with building better habits that can translate later. I'm getting inspired to get back to using needles... so stay tuned 😈

Looking forward to stabbing you someday maybe! Thanks fer watchin, follow ya boi 🫶🏼

☠️ Skullz ☠️

Which little skull is your favorite?!

This was my first sheet I feel good about my process with! I had a couple skulls in an old art file on my computer. Drew up a couple more, printed, played with sizing, and asked for feedback along the way. Used a light box to experiment with layout and transferring. Really happy with this!

I've been in big art rut and this sheet is making me super inspired. Sometimes my perfectionism gets in the way of me making stuff I like. Looking to stencil up a couple of these guys. Stoked to be making progress 🤘🏼

I wanted to do a fun little spin on florals! There are so many collections of flowers that I could do, so this will definitely not be the last floral sheet hahaha. But it is my first flash up on the flash wall!

I'm pretty proud of the purple ornamental cabbage patch kid and the eyeball rose. Those are my favs. Which are yours? by @tinyfeline.creative

Getting back to my line basics: letteringgggg. This was super fun. I love doing sticker style sheets with a lot of stuff to look at. Which one is your favorite?

These are all pretty small, too, so my next round I'm looking to get a little bigger with some of these.

Stay tuned for more :)

THANKS FOR WATCHING follow ya boi ✨

DUDE COLOR ROCKS 🪨 💥

Thanks to @henryjamestattooer for showing me the ropes with the colored pencils. Super stoked about applying color to future sheets.

While my focus is linework, and I'll be working on that more than anything, color is fun. As someone who loves some high saturated stuff, I was vibing with these results. Really happy with a lot of this.

It was also a huge learning curve. I had to throw out some of my habits to achieve this look. I'll have more to show you soon 👀

POV: you ink your flash sheet and realize... it kinda sucks. 🫤

IT HAPPENS! Sometimes you aren't happy with your work because its not the best reflection of what you can do. So? Try again! This kind of thing is gonna happen when you're learning to use new tools (i WILL learn how to use a sharpie to line) or learning a new way to draw or coloring. Might as well handle it gracefully and try again.

As a recovering perfectionist, I'm reminding myself that failure is where learning happens. You can spend all this time planning and mapping our layouts and yadda yadda but sometimes it just sucks and you gotta start over.

Cheers to those who get it. In the wise words of Jake the Dog: "Sucking at something is the first step towards being sorta good at something". So let's get good.

Stay tuned for a better look at the new sheet!!

Hi hello, more American Traditional tattoo design for ya! How about a fun fact to get those brain cells activated:

📚 I learned tattoo artistry has a history of sabotaging art theft! Popular artists in the am trad scene like Norman Collins (famously known as Sailor Jerry), Tex Rowe, and Ed Hardy, would suffer from flash theft - other artists claiming these popular works for their own. As part of my assignment to work on these designs, I had to pull rough sketches from these flash books (mostly derived mine from Rowe).

In these flash books were THOUSANDS of designs all smashed together on pages with hella mistakes. I'm talking lines intersecting, eyes looking in different directions, missing connections that made the designs hard to read. This method of sabotage was twofold- one layer was to sabotage those who stole artwork and claimed it as their own, and the other was for the suckers who didn't pay close enough attention to what they were getting!

Part of my job was the find and fix the mistakes, bring some logic to otherwise asinine designs, and clean that mofo up. And while I did do that, I also missed some things! So these sheets were good practice, but not the end result... those will come next 😎

AIGHT BYE gonna go eat some lasagna

what is up my dudes, i finally cleared out some of the vids from my phone and can build reels again! Lmfao I am probably gonna try more shorter vids - lmk what you think about them 🤔

This vid is extra shorty, but I need to keep documenting my progress! I actually like using the gram for this specific purpose. Its super nice to be able to have a diary of my work so far.

Aight thats it for tonight, ta ta for now friends. Toodle-oo! 👋

"All mimsy were the borogoves... And the mome raths outgrabe" 🤪🐱 Full disclosure: I had to look these lyrics up. I am not fluent in Cheshire Cat 😂

My Alice in Wonderland flash sheets done on 9x12 Strathmore watercolor paper. A lot of the work on my recent sheets is a stepping stone to my next project: an American Trad 11 x 14 sheet and a tinyfeline original 11 x 14 sheet, which will BOTH go up in the shop in frames! 😍🤩🥰🥳

I'm so excited for these next steps. My American Trad sheet will be my first attempt at color with primsacolor pencils. Which has me freaking STOKED - I'm excited to learn color next.

While I intend to pursue linework primarily in tattoos, ya girl loves learning so I am excited to learn how to do it all. Who says she can't do it all? 💁🏼‍♀️

In addition to my traditional work, I'm saving up to buy my first iPad!!!!! This will allow me to post high quality flash options as well as work faster and smarter than my current workflow.

Remember, this is just the beginning! Follow for more! 💫

This one is for all my fellow Wonderland lovers out there! As I got older, I started to appreciate Disney's animated take on the CS Lewis story, Alice in Wonderland. In the Disney adaptation, you see how Alice manifests a world of her own, where things no longer make sense or follow any order! By the end, it seems like she comes around on the need for things to make sense... a character arc I have also been on 😂

This sheet was my first one where all I made were deep cut references between painted roses, momeraths, and talking flowers. I have a sister sheet with some of the more recognizable characters in it that I will be sharing in another post hehe 👀

Thanks for watching! Follow along as I bumble through this tattoo apprenticeship (maybe a car wash hiatus here and there) 😂
