Chicago owes me nothing… except another weekend 🏙️🥂✨ by @tippytae_

1:58:45— Sub 2 hours. For my grandma. 💗🏃🏾‍♀️👼🏾🙏🏾 and my FIRST HALF I must say lol

This one hit different. I ran this race in honor of my grandma , my heart, my motivation, my peace. She fought breast cancer with a strength that inspired me every single day.

There were so many late nights training after work and class and early mornings before teaching class, and days I didn’t even want to run. But I kept going because she never stopped fighting.

Thank you to everyone who supported me through this journey. I felt every ounce of love. 🫶🏾🙌🏾

This 1:58:45 wasn’t just a time , it was a thank you. A prayer. A promise.

Every mile was a memory. Every stride was for her. Every finish line is a reminder that her love still carries me.

“ Greatness is not measured by what a man or woman accomplishes, but by the opposition he or she has overcome to reach their goals.” ~ Dr. Dorothy Irene Height (10th national president of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority . Inc.)
