On days I’m having a hard time, I like to go back to this video. Without saying a single word, it reminds me of so much. It reminds me of God’s love, how far I’ve come, how much He has carried me through, and how different my life looks compared to the moment this was filmed.

This was the first time I ever stood up after coming out of a coma, after barely surviving a traumatic tear near my heart. I remember feeling like I had 1,000 pounds on top of me. This was the “oh shh…” part of my life. The moment reality hit, and I realized the fight was just beginning.

I was trying to process losing my entire arm, going blind in my left eye, being on dialysis, and hoping my kidneys would recover. Everything I knew about my life had changed. This was the start of my second chance. Every part of my future felt uncertain, and I truly had to put my faith in God and pray that He would carry me through what was ahead.

At the time, I couldn’t see what the Lord was doing. There were moments I questioned Him and moments I felt like He was failing me. Looking back now, I realize He was with me through every second of it.

This video gets me through rough times. It reminds me that things can always be so much worse. It helps make fighting much easier. It helps me understand how far a little bit of faith can carry you.

I’ll never forget the amazing physical therapists who walked into that room and helped me fight every day when I thought my life was over. They gave me hope and showed me that even standing up for a few seconds was a victory worth fighting for.

Sometimes the moment you think is destroying you was actually the moment that was building you into who you are destined to become.

All glory to God. 🙏❤️ #Amputee #AmputeeStrong #TraumaRecovery #FaithOverFear #secondchanceatlife by @titanium.josh

Wow, this was way more comfortable than I thought. 🦾

First time doing assisted pull ups since losing my arm above the elbow. I have to take things slowly and gradually build up the weight on my implant, but I can already see myself doing a full bodyweight pull up in the future. Every small win gets me one step closer. #Amputee #Osseointegration #AdaptiveAthlete #FitnessMotivation #ɴᴇᴠᴇʀɢɪᴠᴇᴜᴘ by @titanium.josh

No arm? No excuses. 🦾

Two years ago, I sat in a hospital bed and told myself that one day I would come back. I knew my arm wasn’t going to grow back 🤣, but deep in my heart, I knew I would fight by any means necessary to regain a portion of my old self.
Today, I’m finally seeing all of those small wins I fought so hard for adding up.
Just a reminder that with faith, belief, and the courage to keep reaching for what you desire, you can accomplish more than you may think is possible.

Keep going, bro. Don’t give up on yourself 😤🙌🦾

$Wow… I’ve come a long way. March 9, 2024 was the day that tested everything in me spiritually, physically, and emotionally. A day that changed my life forever. There is so much beauty in life, but with beauty also comes pain. We will face trials. We will be tested. And sometimes it happens when we least expect it. 😅 I believe sometimes God allows us to go through suffering to bring us to a place where we call on His name. Sometimes He wants our attention. Sometimes the path we are on isn’t the path He has for us. Maybe He is using your pain for His glory. Maybe the thing you keep asking “why me?” about is the very thing that will one day change someone else’s life. I’m not mad at anyone. I believe in forgiveness, and I believe people make mistakes. I could spend my life angry, but anger won’t give me my arm back. It won’t give me my vision back. It won’t change the past. What this accident did give me was the opportunity to experience God’s love in a way I never knew was possible. I was given a second chance at life, and I am extremely grateful for it. I survived a traumatic tear to my aorta, a brain bleed, kidney failure and dialysis, a shattered femur, a torn ACL and destroyed meniscus, a fractured back, and severe injuries throughout my body. I lost my left arm above the elbow and the vision in my left eye. I spent nearly two weeks in a coma. I woke up to a life I didn’t recognize. And somehow… I’m still here. Not just alive. Living. Training again. Traveling again. Loving again. Laughing again. Building again. Would I have chosen this path? No. But I trust the One who allowed me to walk it. I don’t know exactly why I survived when so many others don’t. I don’t have every answer. But I do know this… I should not be here. And because I am, I refuse to waste the life I was given back. Maybe your pain has a purpose. Maybe your story isn’t over. Mine wasn’t. 🙏🏼 “To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under heaven.” Ecclesiastes 3:1 All glory to God. ✝️ #amputee #osseointegration #recoveryjourney #gymmotivation #faith by @titanium.josh$
