Last night at 11:17, I lost one of my best friends. I was with you the whole day and was by your side for your final minutes. The man who showed me most in life. He was the first one to hold me after birth. He wasn’t just a grandpa, but a dad. A mentor. You were the life of the party and everybody knew you were there. Never a dull moment with you. April 7th is easily the worst day of my life because I thought you were going to live to be 300 years old. That’s what you made it seem like. You brought Me, Jahmir, and Mom in like we were your own. I will never forget that. From the early mornings in the garden, to the late nights on the patio. Hot summer days watching NASCAR. Cold winter ones in front of a fire. You were the backbone of our family and there was no doubt about that. One thing that I am glad to say is that you’re with your son, Bill again. Until we meet again. I love you, PawPaw by @tkye.wells
