🌿 Talk about a dream team! It takes an incredible collective of craftspeople, engineers, and growers to bring a masterpiece like The @the_rhs Curious Garden to life at #RHSChelsea 2026.

This beautiful vision was designed by @francestophill in close collaboration with @thekingsfoundation, and proudly supported by ambassadors @alantitchmarshmbe and @davidbeckham. Together, this extraordinary crew worked tirelessly behind the scenes to build a space entirely free of man-made materials.

Massive credit to the collaborators who poured their skill into this garden:
🔨 Main Contractor & Build: The Landscaping Consultants (@tlc.uk), @jake.tlc masterfully managing the concrete-free construction alongside the structural build experts at @quadrabuild.
🪵 The Joinery: The brilliant Olly Carter from @adventurousjoinery, crafting the gorgeous wooden elements that give the garden its soul.
📐 The Engineering: Glass engineer Marco Rossi (@marcorossiglass), ensuring structural precision meets natural beauty.
🌸 The Florals & Artistry: Stunning floral displays by artist @hamishpowellstudio, alongside the exquisite dried flower work of @botanical_tales.
🥕 The Heritage Vegetables: Jon Wheatley from Stonebarn Landscapes, bringing his legendary gold-medal expertise to the garden's incredible edible features.
🌿 The Exceptional Plants & Materials:
Jamie Butterworth at @formplants for supplying the incredible structural specimens.
@hardysplants and @jekkasherbgarden for the lush, diverse, and vibrant planting palette.
@allgreenuk for supplying the beautiful, sustainable landscape materials.
From @the_rhs and @thekingsfoundation apprentices to the master engineers, every detail celebrates the very best of British horticulture and craftsmanship.
Drop a 🌿 to show this legendary crew some love!

Curves and Contours 🌿💫🌸 SCROLL LEFT 🌿💫🌸 Embracing the natural contours of the site without resorting to straight lines and expensive and visually intrusive retaining walls is the secret to the design of this Surrey country garden 🌿💫🌸 As such the gently curving mown grass paths and cosy seating areas cosseted within swathes of naturalistic planting create a seamless visual transition to the countryside beyond 🌿💫🌸 And for those of you who are wondering, the dead trees in pic 11 are the result of Ash Dieback in the neighbouring land (now removed) 😔 See also yesterdays post, which also includes the Plan 🌿💫🌸

What a journey it has been for this traditionally made oak timber frame. Having to think about dismantling, moving and rebuilding isn’t the norm when building a permanent structure, every joint was calculated to be taken apart and pegs were made 1mm smaller than usual to allow them to be knocked out. It’s nice to now see the curious garden from @the_rhs Chelsea flower show take its final resting place @farnboroughgram technical college. Built by @tlc.uk designed by @francestophill in association with the @kingsfoundation and @davidbeckham , it’s been a honour to be involved 🙏 #adventurous #joinery by @tlc.uk

A new perspective on our National Trust project Garden for the Future at Sheffield Park & Garden.
My sons have been learning to fly a drone, and it’s already changing the way we document our projects. Seeing a landscape from above reveals patterns, connections and the relationship between a garden and its wider setting in a way that’s impossible to appreciate from the ground.

Spilling and Seeding 🌿🌼🌿🌸🌿 SCROLL LEFT 🌿🌼🌿🌸🌿 There’s nothing particularly tidy about about our garden, we tread lightly with it’s care, allowing plants to spill over the paths and seed around the borders and into the cracks in the paving 🌿🌼🌿🌸🌿 Alchemilla, Linaria (purple, pink and white varieties) Verbena and Erigeron, both E. karvinskianus and especially E. annuus, given to us by Chris @the_sussex_gardener when he worked @gravetyemanor which seeds around the roses creating a veil-like effect 🌿🌼🌿🌸🌿 Gardening now is more about editing, dead-heading and some gentle propping up where necessary 🌿🌼🌿🌸🌿 Ours is certainly not a garden that you dust! 🌿🌼🌿🌸🌿 Clip at 17 🌿🌼🌿🌸🌿

Every year it blows me away how designers create a moment of Calm in their gardens 🙏. To be involved with this beautiful space designed by @francestophill and built by @tlc has been a real joy this year and I can’t thank you all enough for all the kind words and messages, it really means the world so from the bottom of my heart, Thank you 🙏. #adventurous #joinery #chelseaflowershow by @tlc.uk

Heading up to London today for the final weekend before the Chelsea Flower Show opens on Monday, this time in a different role, as part of the judging team.
Hard to believe it’s already been a year since our @kingstrust garden, Seeding Success, sponsored by @project.giving.back in their final year of supporting Chelsea gardens. Over the past five years they’ve helped bring so many incredible gardens to life, and it’s been such a privilege to be part of that.
It’s such an incredible team effort bringing these gardens to life. From designers and contractors through to plantsmen, growers, and all the many hands behind the scenes, it really does take a village. And to then go on and win a gold medal is, of course, what everyone hopes for, but really it’s the cherry on the cake of that collective effort.
There’s always something special about this final push in the days before the gates open, the energy, the pressure, and the weather doing its own thing right up to the last minute.
Good luck to everyone at the show and looking forward to seeing what this year’s show brings!

This is where it gets Real! What a privilege to be part of an @rhs feature garden involving King Charles III, @davidbeckham and @alantitchmarshcbe , designed by @francestophill and built buy @tlc.uk 👊. #adventurous #joinery #chelseaflowershow #building by @tlc.uk

You can build the most beautiful garden in the world, but you can’t do it alone. 🌿🤝

As the planting teams arrive at the @the_rhs Chelsea Flower Show. We are meeting a lot of new faces with different perspectives and ways of working. This morning, I took a moment with @hyphae.learning to dive into the “Understanding Others” session.
In a high-pressure environment like this, empathy is just as important as technical skill. If we can see things from each other’s point of view, the whole project runs smoother. 📈✨

It’s getting busy! 🚜🌸 With the planting teams arriving and apprentices on-site, safety isn’t just a policy—it’s a priority.
The build is in full swing. To keep everyone safe around moving vehicles and heavy plant, we’re running a quick Traffic & Site Safety Toolbox Talk via @hyphae.learning. 📱🚧
Being able to pull up these resources instantly on-site is a game-changer when you have a hundred moving parts to manage. Let’s get to work! 👷‍♂️✨
