I have experimented with left foot braking for an entire session, i tried to replicate what I do on the sim, but it simply doesn’t yield as much results as it does in sim racing. Firstly, without the foot rest my left foot flaps around, took some time to get used to but eventually I was able to keep my feet on the brake pedal, definitely not as stable as braking with right foot. Secondly, the only time where I can see left foot braking being advantageous is when you require brake and throttle overlap, which is inefficient (burns more gas and brake wear). It really doesn’t make sense for me to left foot brake in a road cars, mainly because it’s not as stable and doesn’t yield has much impact on my laptimes. I can switch back from brake to throttle with one leg nearly as quick as with two legs, but what do you guys think? #car #trackdays #fyp #driving #relatable by @tngt_8.5r
