Together is a Place is excited to introduce Kris Lemsalu
Featured artist for
Patrick Weder Artist collab

Kris Lemsalu is a Multidisciplinary artist. Kris Lemsalu’s practice is a continual evolution of ideas, forms, anecdotes and personal histories, expressed through sculpture and performance, in which the division between life and art is blurred. She creates complex sculptures, installations, and performances that fuse the animal kingdom with humankind, nature with the artificial, beauty with repulsion, lightness with gravity, life with death. She revives traditional techniques and methods to combine animal bodies and porcelain objects with found materials such as furs, leather, seashells, wool, or paper in theatrical installations that whisk us off into a world of the fantastic imagination.

Together is a Place is excited to introduce featured artist and co-founder
Tamika Rivera

Tamika is based in NYC, and CDMX , Rivera is a multidisciplinary artist /activist who creates art that evokes ancestral memories. Sculpture, painting, performance , installations with a concentration in fiber art.Rivera attended Brooklyn’s Boricua College, a Puerto Rican institution, where she studied the social complexities of minority groups who are underrepresented in higher education. She explores her multicultural heritage with a multidimensional perspective. Creating pathways of playful exploration, acceptance, mixed identity, decolonization, gender equality and spiritual activation. Her Afro-Boricua and nomadic mixed European Roots hold space to support the statement “I am Taíno”, a movement giving her indigenous ancestors the right to exist inside of her through her work.

By threading the spirit of human connection through her lineage, Tamika’s work invites you to share her stories through different textures, sound, forms and colors to find the conversation that arises between our present and our past when we tap into our DNA.

Michael Hambouz (b. Niles, MI, 1977) is a first-generation Palestinian American multidisciplinary artist, and multi Instrumentalist musician based in Brooklyn, NY. Hambouz received a B.A. from Antioch College and has been awarded residencies at the Studios at MASS MoCA, Wassaic Project, and Golden Foundation for the Arts. Solo/two-person exhibitions include Brooklyn Academy of Music, Elijah Wheat Showroom, Kayrock, Krasl Art Center, Moore College of Art, Neighbors, Troutbeck, and a 20-year survey exhibition at alma mater Antioch College in 2018. Together is a Place is excited to introduce Maya Hayuk
Featured artist
Patrick Weder design
Artist collab project

Maya Hayuk is an internationally celebrated first-generation Ukrainian American artist and activist best known for her massive, saturated, iconic murals seen worldwide. Hayuk reclaims ornament and craft - long dismissed as decorative - by foregrounding their hidden systems and feminist lineages. Small studio works serve as laboratories for color and rhythm, while public walls magnify those investigations architecturally.

Hayuk’s work is represented in a numerous public and private collections and has been the subject of one-person exhibitions and commissions including The Brooklyn Museum, NY, MAAM Museum (Boston, MA), The Hammer Museum (Los Angeles, CA), MIMA Museum (Brussels, Belgium), The Embassy of the United States of America (Sanaa, Yemen and San Jose, Costa Rica), FRAC Museum (Dunkerque, France), MOCA (Jacksonville, FL), MOCCA (Toronto, Canada), Bonnefanten Museum (Maastricht, The Netherlands) and The Ukrainian Museum (New York, NY).

Together is a Place is excited to introduce, Chrissy Angliker! One of the Featured artist for:
Patrick Weder Design
Artist collab project.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Chrissy Angliker is a Brooklyn-based Swiss American artist. Her art is focused on visually translating how she perceives life itself, as seeking balance between control and chaos. At the center of Chrissy’s practice lies her unique exploration of her ever-evolving partnership with paint. The theme of her work arose from her feeling of life itself being a balance-between control and chaos, which has been heightened in these extraordinary times. As people, we have intentions, but must anticipate and welcome the intervention of outside forces beyond our power.
