Excited to share a new documentary, IN GUNS WE TRUST. The film follows two Aussies on a road trip across America to explore the country’s complicated relationship with guns. Through conversations with people on all sides of the issue, the film offers a thoughtful look at guns, safety, freedom, and what it really means to feel safe. The film is officially out now and available to watch for free on YouTube worldwide! Check out the trailer here! Watch this film with someone you disagree with and TALK ABOUT IT! by @tommyjackett
This is not a joke. I’m actually giving away a piece of land in America. In the ‘70s my dad saw an ad, paid $5,000 and bought a block in Colorado. From Melbourne. Without ever seeing it. So a mate and I flew over to finally take a look. It’s a hill. A very steep one. No water, no power, and apparently mountain lions. Was it a scam, or just bad investing? Seriously, if you want it, it’s yours. Just pay the transfer fees. Also my dad recons this won’t work. Help me prove him wrong. 😭 Send me an email americandream@vidpod.com.au by @tommyjackett

How do you talk with someone who sees things differently? Not with a better argument. With a better question. What shaped your viewpoint? What do you think I’m missing? What do we agree on? Can you tell me more? Can we keep talking? In Guns We Trust is a nuanced documentary built on conversations like these. The full film is free on YouTube. Watch together, then talk. Link in bio. Send this to someone who sees things differently. #InGunsWeTrust #Documentary #HardConversations by @tommyjackett
40,000 views. Thank you to everyone who has watched In Guns We Trust so far, and to everyone who has shared it. More than half of you are watching on your TV, which is exactly how we hoped people would see it. Tell us where you’re watching from, and share a photo of the film on your screen in your Instagram stories so we can see it. Watch it. Then talk about it with someone. Happy Halloween from the In Guns We Trust crew. We had a great time filming over Halloween in North Carolina: pumpkin carving, costumes, decorated yards and a whole neighborhood out trick-or-treating. The full documentary is free on YouTube, link in bio. #HappyHalloween #InGunsWeTrust #NorthCarolina #Documentary by @tommyjackett
Mental illness or human nature? @michael_sodini on why the biggest threat might be you, and why he wants to get rid of the stigma around mental health and around gun ownership. The full documentary In Guns We Trust is free on YouTube. Link in bio. Do you agree with him? Tell me why, and keep it respectful. #ingunswetrust #documentary #america by @tommyjackett
Same film. Very different takes. One viewer felt we went “full anti gun at the end.” FilmInk’s review said most of the film “is taken up by pro-gun interviews and segments.” Perfect balance on a subject like this may be impossible. Nobody comes to it neutral, us included. We aimed for nuance, and for a conversation after. Full film free on YouTube, link in bio. Watch it and decide for yourself. #InGunsWeTrust #documentary #film #america #australia by @tommyjackett
Inside Dragon Man’s museum in Colorado Springs: real guns, one as close as you get to the gun that killed Lincoln, and a memorial to his late wife Terry, who helped him build it all. The full documentary In Guns We Trust is free on YouTube. Link in bio. Would you visit? Tell me in the comments. #ingunswetrust #documentary #america by @tommyjackett
He builds safe rooms for classrooms. One survivor’s words are why he started, and his real goal is for them to be useless in 20 years. The full documentary is free on YouTube. Link in bio. #InGunsWeTrust #documentary #america by @tommyjackett
10,000 views in two days. Thank you. Two days ago we put In Guns We Trust on YouTube, free for anyone, anywhere. No studio, no network. Just a small independent team who thought this conversation was worth having. We didn’t make this film to push an opinion. We made it to listen, and to encourage people who disagree to sit down, ask honest questions, and hear each other. Send it to someone who sees it differently. Watch it together. Talk after. Watch free on YouTube. Link in bio. #InGunsWeTrust #Documentary #IndependentFilm #DocumentaryFilm #FreeDocumentary by @tommyjackett
