I FINISHED THE 2025 NYC MARATHON!! This was epic, a race unlike any other! I went in with two goals— have fun & finish under 4 hours. I left with both and an unforgettable experience! The brain-body connection is the foundation for building strength, control, and longevity in sport. If you’ve been dealing with illness, injury, or a hiatus from exercise, movement can feel foreign when you return. The first step in building a stronger body is connecting with its parts and pieces. As you complete each exercise, consciously focus on the body parts you’re using to achieve the movement. This improves proprioception and motor control. We may be tempted to compare ourselves to where we were before. Use that energy to build a solid base from which you can excel even further ✨ #fitness #running #explore #fyp by @toorunna

They say if you wanna make God laugh, tell him your plans. My ulcerative colitis diagnosis came out of nowhere and has completely shifted my life. UC is an autoimmune disease that causes ulcers and inflammation of the colon. It has no cure, and I will have to manage this disease for the rest of my life. As a woman who’s never broken a bone, been seriously sick or hospitalized, my experience with UC has been jarring. I’m grateful that despite the uncertainty I face with what this disease will bring, I have absolutely no doubt that I have the capacity to endure, not because I’m strong, but because strength surrounds me in abundance. Thank you, friends, family, and supporters for keeping me lifted. 🙏🏾❤️ by @toorunna
