Ezpi’s Story 🩷 Since June 8th, 2025..our lives have completely changed.
What started as stomach pain quickly turned into something much more serious and life-threatening.
A CT scan revealed a hole in her stomach that was leaking internally. Even though we caught it early, the damage had already begun. Her body started shutting down, and everything moved fast.
She was rushed into emergency in ambulance to the Children’s Hospital in San Diego, and in just a few weeks, she had to undergo 10 surgeries to fight what was happening inside her. Her care included a tracheotomy, wound vac, drainage tubes, and a long list of painful procedures, each one necessary to save her life.

Some days she was sedated and hooked up to machines. Other days, she was awake, in pain, emotional, and missing her siblings, her normal life, and just being a kid again. But nonetheless her strength and faith are the reason she’s come this far. 🩷 Even through the pain, Ezpi has held onto God. Her quiet strength and unshakable faith have inspired everyone around her. She’s truly won the hearts of every doctor, nurse, and therapist caring for her. They don’t just see a patient they see a fighter, a light, and a miracle in the making.

Through all of this, we honored her wish for privacy. She didn’t want people to know yet, and we respected that fully. The emotional weight of trying to explain it all while living it was too much.
But now, as she slowly begins to heal, we’re ready to share her story not for sympathy, but because your prayers, love, and positive energy are powerful🙌🏼and they’re needed. 🙏🏼🤲🏼

We are forever grateful for the team of doctors, nurses, and specialists God handpicked to care for her. They went above and beyond. And there’s no doubt in our minds that God used them to save our daughter’s life. 🩷
Please continue lifting Ezpi up. She still has a long road ahead..physically, emotionally, and spiritually but she is here🙌🏼. She is fighting🥊. And we know God is not done with her story.🩷

Thank you for respecting our peace.
Thank you for honoring her privacy.
And thank you for standing with us in faith.🙏🏼🩷 by @topazrico

Halloween 2026 💀🤍 by @topazrico

A bittersweet kind of gratitude🤎🍂🎃
Yesterday we got to go back to the same pumpkin patch we’ve been taking our kids to for years. A tradition we had to put on hold after everything we went through with Ezpi
And this year, we got to experience it again. 🥹
But something God has really been teaching me lately is the importance of not allowing our EMOTIONS to lead us!
Because let’s be real, life doesn’t stop just because we’re hurting. We can be disappointed, angry, confused, and still have so much to be grateful for.
And I think that’s why God reminds us to remain sober minded. To not let what we’re feeling in one moment blind us from what He’s still doing around us.
Because sometimes the blessing is happening right in the middle of something that hurts.
Yesterday reminded me that I can be working through my own emotions and still choose to be present for the moments that matter. My children deserve those memories, and I deserve to experience them too.
Not every feeling needs to become a decision. Not every difficult season needs to take away the joy that’s still available to us.
And choosing joy doesn’t mean the hurt isn’t real. It doesn’t mean everything is okay. It simply means I’m not allowing what hurts me to rob me of what God has blessed me with.
These pictures are more than just memories. They’re reminders of what happens when we allow God’s truth to lead us instead of our emotions.
Same pumpkin patch🙌🏽Same tradition🫶🏽A different level of gratitude🙏🏽
Thank You, God, for reminding me that even in the bittersweet moments, there is still so much beauty to experience🤎🤲🏽🙏🏽✨ by @topazrico

🎶🤎 Sometimes you just gotta put your headphones on, play some oldies or your favorite song, and JUST BREATHE.
But have you ever noticed what music does to your mind?
A song🎶 can bring back memories, change your mood, calm you down, or even bring up emotions you didn’t realize you were holding on to.
That’s because music has a way of connecting with our emotions, memories, and the way we think.
So here’s something to practice. 🤎
Next time you put on your favorite song, pay attention to where your mind goes. What are you thinking about? What are you feeling? Is the music helping you find peace, or is it keeping you stuck in a feeling?
And here’s where we bring it back to God…
We don’t always have to be listening to worship music to have a moment with Him. We can use those moments to reflect, give thanks, pray, and redirect our thoughts back to His Word.
Romans 12:2 reminds us to be transformed by the renewing of our minds.
Sometimes that starts with simply recognizing where our thoughts are going and choosing to bring them back to God.
So play your music, enjoy your moment, talk to God, and JUST BREATHE. 🎶🤎
Not every moment needs to be filled with worry. Sometimes we just need to be still and remember who’s really in control✨🧠🙏🏽 by @topazrico

Today my baby girl is SIXTEEN! 🥹🎂♥️

Before anything, we give this day to God. 🙏🏼 Thank You, Lord, for her life, every breath, every year, every lesson, and every answered prayer.

Ezpi, you saved me in ways you may never understand. You made me a mama, gave me a reason to become more, love deeper, pray harder, and keep going.

Then I watched you SAVE yourself. I watched you fight, find strength, and keep going when life asked more of you than it ever should have. Through it all, God had His hand on you.

But you are so much more than what you’ve survived.

You are Ezpi! 💕 My baby! Beautiful, funny, creative, deeply loved, chosen, the LIST GOES ON but I pray you know just how incredibly special you are..your heart, your spirit, your strength, your personality, your softness, your creativity, your fire, your humor, and all the little things that make you uniquely YOU!
And you deserve to experience every beautiful thing this life still has waiting for you.

So for 16, my prayer is simple…LIVE, baby! ♥️

Dream big. Laugh until your stomach hurts(just don’t laugh your tube out again! 😂) Make memories, be confident, be silly, be soft, be bold, and never shrink yourself for anyone.
Always remember WHO you are and WHOSE you are. You belong to God, and His plan for your life has the final say. 🙏🏼

Happy Sweet 16, Ezpi! 🎀✨ You are one of my greatest blessings and the most beautiful souls I’ve ever known.
You saved me. You saved yourself. And I thank God every day that I get to be your mama.

Now go LIVE, baby. This is only the beginning♥️🎂✨WE LOVE YOU MAMI!!! by @topazrico

Happy & blessed Friday! ✨🤍
My favorite part about Fridays..after 3pm I don’t have to share custody with the schools for the next two days 😂🙌🏽 I get ALL my babies back home with me!

And today’s reminder from @prophetlovy lessons … ‘success isn’t created, it’s replicated.’🔥
It’s not always about doing MORE or working harder. It’s about watching what works, learning from people who’ve already walked the path, and being intentional enough to apply it.
That goes for business, motherhood, marriage, faith… LIFE!!!🙏🏽
So today I’m choosing to work the RIGHT way, love on my babies, learn, grow, and enjoy my Friday. 🥰🔥
Happy Friday, y’all! 🤍💋 by @topazrico

Homecoming 2026 !!! LOOK AT GOD! 🥹🙌🏽🩷…Last year looked sooo different for Ezpi… I remember how heartbreaking it was watching her see her friends living their lives while hers was on pause. And now look at our girl 😭🥹✨ going to HOMECOMING!!

I got to take her pictures 📸, she took me out of retirement to help her with her makeup 🤣, her father gave her flowers 💐🥹, she took pictures with her friends and cousins, laughed, danced, and just got to be a teenager. 🩷 Of course still keeping her care in mind, but she had such a good time. 🙏🏽
Watching them all laugh and be silly had me thinking about being their age going to homecoming 😂🥹

So happy for my baby! All her hard work + GOD’S strength… look at her now. 😭🙌🏽🩷✨ by @topazrico

The best part is… this streamer wasn’t the only one who got stopped multiple times to get a pic taken … it happens all the time with me as well 💯

Moral of the story is …show your kids what’s possible 💎 by @topazrico

Happy Sunday💋
Every time I do med prep, I’m reminded that this used to be something I prayed for the strength to survive.

There was a time we didn’t know if we’d ever make it home. Now I get to prepare the very things that continue to help my daughter heal.

His mercy didn’t just meet us in the miracle. It meets us in the ordinary moments too.

God is so faithful. 🤍🙏🏼 by @topazrico

Money isn’t the problem. It’s a mirror 🪞
It reveals what’s already rooted within us.🧠✨

So before we pray for more, let’s pray for a heart that can steward it well 🙏🏼

The roots matter more than the fruit. 🌱🤍 by @topazrico
