This time last week we were having fun in the Memorial Park at our @topoathleticuk Treasure Hunt Trail Run … running in the dark, looking for clues, testing out trail shoes and headlamps, followed by pizza and sweet treats. What’s not to love!! Who’s joining us for our next one?! 🧡 #coventryrunner #topoathletic #treasurehunttrailrun #coventry #memorialpark by @topoathleticuk
THAT’S AN SRG RECORD! Over 80 runners 🏃 A dinosaur 🦖 A Banana 🍌 Try On Shoes with @topoathleticuk Full bellies @lastdropinn Thanks for joining us @ysjrunning by @topoathleticuk
Last nights Friday Social Trail Run was awesome! We had a good turnout - many brave souls ventured out for our monthly trail run. The weather was kind to us - we didn’t experience anything nasty whilst out. Thanks to Ross from Topo for bringing the shoes - very comfortable, very grippy 💪(and for buying us all a drink afterwards 🍻🥂) Also massively grateful to Joe from Silva for bringing the lights. Everything from 250 lumens to 1100 lumens was on offer. Special thanks to Karen, Rachael, Dan, and Eileen for guiding us all round It’s so lovely to see everyone get together for an evening’s run - that’s the reason we put these on - purely to get people together. To support each other and the community. We’re better, stronger & safer together. And it’s more fun 🤩 Especially as the nights are drawing in and getting darker - shouldn’t mean that we get out less. There’s LOADS of running groups out there. Most days of week you can find a run club or group (we’ve got a huge list in the shop). Have a great weekend, and see you next month (or Monday if you’re coming to our Halloween Monster SRG special) @topoathleticuk @silvaglobal @upandrunninghub by @topoathleticuk
EDIT: someone has been in touch tonight to say they found the missing headlamp in their pocket last night 🗺️🔦🏃🏻‍♂️🏃🏼‍♀️ ABOUT LAST NIGHT … 🧡 It was our first ever off-road off-site event last night, and we weren’t sure how it would go. So it was wonderful to see 35 people turn up to don some @topoathleticuk trail shoes and use their navigation skills to follow a treasure trail around the Memorial Park First team back was Chris, Mel, Zoe & Sharon, with Mel being the lucky winner of a brand new pair of Topo shoes, whilst the other ladies bagged some socks 👏🏻 Pizzas were delivered courtesy of Dominoes & @skyblue_dave and were much needed after all that running on the dark 🍕 Thank you for your support, anyone fancy doing another one of these types of events again? 🤩 ALSO (not so nice to have to write this) - but someone went away with one of the demo headlamps from Petzl (worth £85) and it hasn’t been returned. I had really hoped it was taken accidentally, but now 24 hours later when nobody has made contact to apologise & return it, I fear someone has simply stolen it. Stealing from a small business is NOT OK & we all feel very sad about this. So if someone does have the headlamp in their possession, please consider returning it as it took the shine off a lovely evening 😢 #coventryrunner #topoathletic #treasurehunttrailrun #topovista #trailrunning by @topoathleticuk
