Artificial Intelligence Based Autonomous Electric Vehicle "Sri Vahan", and AI Reception Robot "SriniBot" developed by the Engineering Students of Srinivas University Institute of Engineering & Technology, SUIET Mukka was successfully demonstrated at Mukka Campus. Both projects were developed with the financial support of University Management.

AI powered self-driven autonomous vehicle Sri Vahan has 6-seater capacity, modified to carry patients guided through ambulance rerouting app. This autonomous vehicle can travel a distance of 20 km with single charge. Maximum speed is 5 kmph. This vehicle is retrofitted to the old vehicle to reduce the cost, at Rs 5 lakhs. Sri Vahan currently operates autonomously along a predefined route and includes a remote-controlled override facility for enhanced safety & operational flexibility. Research is currently underway to enable fully autonomous navigation in unmapped environments. It took 6 months to complete the project. The project was guided by Prof Vishwas C Shetty. Research Associate Er Vishak Mendon is the R&D (Technical) Lead. The project was assisted by our students Shreyas, Adwitiya, Ujjwal, Akshay, Manjunath, Prakhyath.

SRINIBOT is an intelligent AI-powered reception robot developed for Srinivas University to modernize visitor engagement & enhance the overall campus experience. The robot serves as a smart digital receptionist capable of welcoming visitors, answering queries, providing university information through natural voice interaction. The project was guided by Akhil K P; coordinated & executed by Research Associates Niketh Jadav, Joyal Jose & Samarth Naganur.

Both projects represents the university's commitment to innovation, research & next-generation automation. Dr A. Srinivas Rao (Hon’ble Chancellor), Smt A. Vijayalakshmi R. Rao (Trustee-Member, Board of Governors, #SrinivasUniversity), Dr.Satyanarayana Reddy (Vice Chancellor), Dr.Anil Kumar (Registrar), Dr.Ajay Kumar (Registrar Development), Dr.Jayashree Bolar (Asst Registrar), Dr.Ramakrishna N Hegde (Dean, #SUIETMukka), Dr.Praveen B M (Director-Research) & Members from media were present.
