Hold the line — at all costs !

Somewhere in the freezing cold of the Ardennes, American soldiers fight to hold their position, supported by a 60 mm M2 mortar.

Thanks for the minifigures to :
@brickmania_toys and
@mnartgirl

I also used accessories from :
@dragoonbricks (head) and @ww2.lego.moc (helmet)

If I don't post again before the end of the year, I wish you all a wonderful holiday season.
Thanks for the support ! 🎄😜

The M2 60 mm mortar was the standard light mortar (19 kg) of the U.S. Army during World War II.
Compact, reliable, and easy to deploy, it accompanied infantry units to provide rapid fire support on the battlefield
(range up to ~1.8 km, rate of fire : 18–30 rounds per minute, depending on the crew).

War… That's also it ! Mass massacres to the point of killing children.

Under Nazi Germany, 6 million Jews were murdered, two-thirds of Europe's Jews. In total, nearly 45 million civilians lost their lives during World War II.

I condemn all wars, regardless of the assailant or the victim.

Man was born to love, not to kill. 🕊️

🌪️ Sandstorm 🌪️

Not as available lately, but whenever I get the chance and find the time, it's always a pleasure to pick up the camera again ! 😊

In 1942, the Panzer III was one of the main tanks of the Deutsches Afrikakorps, with more than 160 in service in North Africa that summer.

For the first time, I used AI to add a sandy effect and enhance the atmosphere of the scene. But for the purists, you'll also find the original photo in this post !

🌳 Invisible. Motionless. Deadly. 💥

Hidden in the Norman bocage, these German soldiers wait patiently for the enemy to come within range…

Camouflaged among hedgerows and dense foliage, the PaK 40 stands ready to fire.
Capable of penetrating nearly 100 mm of armor at 1,000 meters, it quickly became one of the most feared anti-tank guns among Allied forces.

Wearing "oakleaf" camouflage patterns introduced in 1942, these troops blend seamlessly into their surroundings.

One chance. One shot.

📷😅 One of the most challenging series I've worked on so far.
I really struggled — it felt like the perfect angle kept slipping away every time…
Or maybe I'm just becoming more demanding with each shot. 😅📷

Introduced in 1942, the PaK 40 quickly became Germany's standard anti-tank gun.

Powerful and accurate, it could take on most Allied tanks — including the T-34.

Its main drawback ? Weight — making it difficult to move in combat.

➡️ Over 23,000 were produced by 1945.

1945: Too Young, Too Old… Sent to the Front.

On October 18, 1944, as Nazi Germany was collapsing, the Volkssturm was created: a militia composed of men aged 16 to 60.

Around 6 million men were officially registered, often with little to no real military training. Many received only minimal equipment — sometimes just a single Panzerfaust to face advancing Allied tanks.

During the final months of the war, particularly during the Battle of Berlin, tens of thousands of them lost their lives.

This Lego scene does not seek to glorify, but to illustrate a tragic episode at the end of World War II: a desperate mobilization in which teenagers and elderly men were sent into combat.

The Winter Wolf 🐺

Silent
Patient
Deadly

Born in the cold,
Shaped by the white silence.

Thanks to @angelbricks.shop for the minifig, the head, and this amazing hood ! 👍🏻

For the rifle camouflage, I repurposed old microfiber glasses cloth on the Kar98k.
