Thank you so much to Rep. @liishkozlowski and Sen. @senjenmcewen for sitting down with us this afternoon to talk about how we can make Minnesota the best place in the world to be a performer.

After stop two in Duluth of the MN Needs Music tour (more on that later), we are feeling more energized and organized than ever and we want to keep hearing from you. Add your story and your support by signing onto our campaign because MN Needs Music and artists need state investment to keep being able to perform, tour, and record!

Are you a performer in the Twin Ports? Do you love supporting your local music scene? Then come to @bentpaddlebeer this Sunday, September 20th, where @tpupmn and @tcupmn have partnered to help make Minnesota the best place to be a musician.

As the music industry continues to grow, it also continues to get harder for independent artists to gain traction, meanwhile companies like Spotify and Live Nation report record profits, organizations like TCUP and TPUP are here to help performers like you. From helping you get into the studio to record your first album, or even getting you on the road touring the country, TCUP and TPUP want to make it happen for you. And the best way to support their efforts is by signing on to their campaign, or better yet in person at the show this Sunday at Bent Paddle Brewing, where from 6 to 9 p.m your local favorites @ross.thorn, @26bats, and @cigarettepicnic are going to be performing. We’ll see you there!

Happy Pride! This edition features a historical and local look at drag artistry and the queer and trans creatives and inspirations that came before us. Spotlight on @hausofqueermn and @duluthsuperiorpride , and @swertyman ‘s ode to Tim Curry and Dolly Parton

If you’re a musician and you haven’t signed the @tpupmn / @tcupmn MN Needs Music campaign letter, go do that right now! We need 1000 signatures to be considered a constituency worthy of having our voices heard by our elected officials.

Get a little levity with Gavin Glen’s poetic play on words navigating the complexities of relationships.

If you’re a photographer or someone who uses Adobe photoshop and the like, take a gander at the quick hot tip for fighting false ai labels on social media.
