Yesterday was an incredible evening with the Columbia Track Club. This club and this community have given me so much more than running. They’ve given me a different way to see Columbia, a deeper connection to the people who call this place home, and a community that continues to show up for one another in ways that never go unnoticed. As president, I probably don’t say this enough, but I am incredibly proud of every single member of this club. Proud of the time you’ve given, the miles you’ve logged, the friendships you’ve built, and the investment you’ve made in something that is bigger than any one race, workout, or season. And that investment doesn’t stop with our membership. So many people throughout Columbia have stepped up to support running, health, wellness, and the people who make this community what it is. That spirit is what makes this place special. I’m proud of what the generations have built, grateful for what we have right now, and even more excited about where we’re going. 58 years young! The best part is that we’re just getting started. Here’s to the miles behind us, the people beside us, and everything still ahead. by @traermiller
THANK YOU! ❤️ I’m incredibly thankful for everyone who showed up, volunteered, raced, supported, or simply came out to be part of the 67th Heart of America Marathon. A race like this takes a community. From the months of planning, to race day execution, the 13 aid stations, volunteers at intersections, Boone Health providing first aid, Officers helping with traffic, Cooper’s Landing sharing their space, our vendors, Shakespeare’s, Simon Rose as our MC, Kinetic Timing, and Mile90 capturing the day, so many people helped make this happen. A special thank you to Andy Emerson, Becky Hennessy, Allan Benjamin, Mary Ellen, Karen, Ryan, Mariana, Adam, Graham, Jay, Abbie, Kathy, Larry, Andy, and the entire Heart of America committee. I know I’m leaving people out, but please know that every person who helped mattered. As someone who helped make sure this race got across the finish line, and as the acting Race Director on race day, I got to see just how much work goes into an event like this. There were plenty of moving pieces, stressful moments, and problems to solve. But people showed up. People stepped in. People cared. And then we got to watch runners take on a seriously hard course and make their way across the finish line. Whether you were chasing a PR, running your first marathon, accomplishing a personal goal, or simply fighting to finish, congratulations. You should be proud. 67 years of Heart of America is something special. Generations of runners. Generations of volunteers. A community that continues to show up. I’m incredibly grateful I got to be a small part of carrying that tradition forward this year. To everyone who helped make it happen: thank you for your time, your energy, your patience, and your support. The Heart of America Marathon is not one person. It’s all of us. Thank you for an unforgettable 67th Heart of America. ❤️ by @traermiller

Running doesn’t have to be complicated. No crowd. No pressure. Just you, your pace, and a reason to get outside. The weather’s getting better. That’s your sign. If you’ve been waiting to start… this is it. Join the Columbia Track Club and start stacking miles with purpose. The 1,000 Mile Club isn’t about being fast—it’s about showing up. And when you don’t want to run alone, pull up to our Tuesday group runs at 5:30 PM in front of Fleet Feet Columbia. Every mile counts! 📸 @traermiller #ColumbiaTrackClub #CTC #1000MileClub #RunColumbia #MissouriRunning by @traermiller

The Nut Race lived up to its name this year. Out of 68 runners who registered, 51 braved the cold and windy conditions to race. Temperatures hovered around 38° with high humidity and a steady north wind, but every runner who started finished the race. Our sister club, the Mizzou Running Club, showed up in strong numbers again, which we greatly appreciate. The flat loop course, with four 90-degree turns and separate start and finish locations, gave runners a fast but challenging route. Congratulations to our overall winners: • Noah McMullen – 16:59 • Sydney Belter – 22:05 All finishers received a small bag of M&M peanuts, while the winners took home the large bags. A huge thank you to the volunteers who made the race possible: Anne Hessler, Thom Allen, Tony Taube, Nancy Rezabeck, Andy Emerson, Tom May, and Trae Miller for race filming. Events like this only happen because of dedicated volunteers. We’ll share the full race results tomorrow. 🏃‍♂️ by @traermiller
