All welcome regardless of ethnicity, gender expression, sexuality, creed, or nationality. We cannot ride bikes in a burning world.

The 3rd Annual LALBLA classic is returning on Saturday November 14. LA’s only cross country race brings back the beloved LA to Long Beach and back format, again with a break in Long Beach segmenting our two stages. Racers with the shortest accumulative time wins! There will be the customary tie-dye shirts for stage winners, merch prizes for overrall podiums, and cash pot for the top two of each field.

There is no separation by bicycle type so racers use whatever bike you’re most comfortable with.

This ride is very much in the spirit of an alleycat so racers will be determining their own routes and navigating live streets (safely of course).

Thank you again to @allezlabikeshop for letting us start and end our ride at your shop. by @trashpandacycling

Trash Panda Cycling Tenets and Riding Etiquette

We love cycling. And we love our community. Please help us continue helping it thrive.

These guidelines will be periodically reviewed and amended as needed. Should anyone have any concerns about safety, culture, etc, please feel free to continue to reach out to Raff so challenges can be relayed and reviewed by the TPC leadership committee. by @trashpandacycling

There’s a little bit of hope after last night. But there’s still a lot of work to do. 🙏 by @trashpandacycling

LA’s only cross country race is a little less than two weeks away! The objective? Get to Long Beach as fast as you can choosing your own route, then come back to LA! Use whatever bike you feel most comfortable with. Racers with the shortest accumulative time wins!

Thanks again to @allezlabikeshop for being our start line. We’ll see everyone for the 3rd Annual LALBLA Classic on 11/14 🏁 by @trashpandacycling

Tomorrow is the deadline to have your ballots dropped. And in the spirit of our civic duty tomorrow’s ride will be “A Very Short Civic Duty Ride” as we ride to the nearest ballot box and drop off our ballots (if you haven’t done so already). The nearest ballot box is only a few blocks away from Grand Park if you want to drop off with the group (but no pressure to hold off). After we’ll be riding to Highland Park Brewery to decompress from the stress of the elections.

Next week the ride gets back to more lore and adventurous rides. by @trashpandacycling

The veil is thin. Happiest of Halloweens to everyone. May you all have plentiful harvests and be untroubled by menacing spirits. 🎃💀🕯️🍬🍫🪵🌲 by @trashpandacycling

Back in March Paula worked on this @engine_11 Skyline for me. She hated her landlord and was super overworked running the old @lacyclery

It’s been some months and she’s working on a different Engine 11 but now she’s moved to a bigger and better place just around the corner! New space but still the same amazing LA Cyclery. Please please go visit this amazing bike shop and community space. Let’s keep LA Cyclery open for years to come. And go say hi to Frijol (he might bark at you, that’s okay). by @trashpandacycling

The Meaning of Halloween 10272026🎃

RIP Bobby and Rumor. RIP Vanessa. 🕯️ by @trashpandacycling

It has been a rough weekend with news from Montclair. And with rain due for Saturday night we are rescheduling our bonfire ride to tomorrow. This will be a very short ride with a bevvie stop prior to arriving at the river similar to the Ride of Discontent. We will be having our Halloween bonfire once we arrive at the river with a vigil in memory of our friend Vanessa who died by suicide and those killed in Montclair this past weekend.

If any in our group wish to share a few words you will be welcome to do so. We hope to see you tomorrow to join us in the spirit of friendship, gratitude, and love for those we still have and those taken from us. by @trashpandacycling

The Transcended have spent much of their time throughout the city taking counsel with disturbed spirits. During our observations we continue to hear them repeat “the veil thins, the veil thins.”

We know they eagerly await the month’s end. by @trashpandacycling
