This was Toya and I’s vision Black Legacy Builders

Not just to build a business… but to build a space for our people.
A space where we could come together, lock in, work together, grow together, and go to the top together — without competing, without tearing each other down… but truly pouring into one another.

A space where our community could walk in and finally feel seen… heard… and know we belong here.

Freedom, Security, and Peace isn’t something we watch other people have…
it’s something WE deserve.

✨ Freedom — to live, not just survive
✨ Security — so our families are protected, no matter what
✨ Peace — so we can finally breathe… and become who we were meant to be

She wanted us to know this is possible.
She wanted us to know this space is ours.
She wanted us to stop playing small and start building legacy.
She loved everyone and wanted to see everyone win!

And that kind of love… that kind of vision… it doesn’t die.
We feel her in every room.
We carry her in every conversation.

And we’re going to keep going — for her. 🕊️

All gas no brakes! It’s up from here!

See yall in Philly!!

Miss you sis 😢😢 by @traybattles

Faith is taking the first step even when you don’t see the whole staircase.

Today, on MLK Day, I can’t help but reflect on the power of using your voice—even when you don’t think it’s big enough, loud enough, or ready yet.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. didn’t wait to feel comfortable.
He didn’t wait for permission.
He spoke because the message mattered more than the fear.

And today, I find myself stepping into a moment I never imagined for my own life.

Never in a million years did I think my story would be powerful enough
to be shared in front of nearly 3,000 people.
Not because I didn’t have a story—
but because I didn’t yet know how deeply it could move someone else.

The last two years stretched me.
Pushed me.
Pulled me far outside my comfort zone.

At the time, it felt uncomfortable.
Now, I realize it was preparation.

Thank you to my number one supporter, my best friend , my husband , my business partner @qgriffin92
Thank you to our mentor @jonathanmehrian
for pushing me when comfort felt safer than growth.
Little did I know, every push was shaping me for this exact moment.
Thank you to the team!! They believed in us before we believed in us!
Thank you to my circle that believed in and supported us!

MLK reminded us that leadership is service
and courage is choosing purpose over fear.

Today, I choose purpose.
I choose to use my voice.
Because you never know who you’ll inspire
until you decide to speak anyway.

📍 Bakersfield, California! 💪🏽🔥

I absolutely love our team!!! 💛

One of my favorite things about what we’re building is being able to travel from city to city, visit our different offices, connect with our different teams, and see the same vision coming to life in so many places!

Different cities. Different backgrounds. Different stories. But ONE mission: FREEDOM, SECURITY, and PEACE. ❤️

Every office represents more than just a place to do business. It represents opportunity, families being educated, lives being impacted, leaders being developed, and legacies being built.

And the beautiful part? We’re just getting started!

We’re not just building in California. We’re expanding across North America, creating opportunities for people to grow personally, professionally, and financially while making a difference in their communities.

Our vision is bigger than any one city, any one office, or any one of us. We’re building something that will continue impacting generations long after we’re gone.

🌎 North America, we’re coming!

If you’ve been looking for an opportunity to grow, surround yourself with driven individuals, and be part of something bigger than yourself, let’s have a conversation.

Join the mission. Build your legacy. Let’s grow together. 🔥

🎉💙 Help me give a BIG Legacy Builders welcome to AMERAH! 🎉

Our SOUTH CAROLINA team is growing STRONG! 💪🏽🔥 And we’re excited to welcome another ambitious, driven woman to the Legacy Builders family!

Amerah is a hardworking mother to a beautiful 4-year-old daughter who loves to dance! 💃🏽❤️ And when she’s not busy being Mom, she’s investing in her education and her future!

📚 She’s pursuing her education with interests in CNA, Hospitality Management, Science, and English Language Arts! She’s also tech-savvy, eager to learn, and bringing fresh energy and perspective to our growing team!

What excites me most is seeing women who are already balancing so many responsibilities STILL make the decision to invest in themselves, expand their opportunities, and build something greater for their families.

Because building a legacy isn’t just about what we leave behind. It’s about the example we set for the next generation while we’re still here. ❤️

Amerah, we’re excited to support your growth, celebrate your wins, and watch you step into this next chapter!

South Carolina, we’re just getting started! 🚀🔥 Our vision is bigger than one city, one state, or even one generation!

Welcome to Legacy Builders, Amerah! 💙

Multiple Cities. One Movement. Infinite Possibilities. 🌎 by @traybattles

We may not have come from a wealthy family, but a wealthy family sure as hell is going to come from us. 💯

We’re not just working to change our lives. We’re working to change the trajectory of generations we may never even meet.

The cycle stops with us. The legacy starts with us. 🔥

We may not have inherited wealth, but we’re determined to leave behind more than we came with.

Generational wealth starts with a generation willing to do things differently.

And a little side note… because I know how y’all are 😂 yall be messy 😂 THIS IS NOT AN ANNOUNCEMENT!

But I want to remind anyone who doesn’t have children that your legacy is not limited to the children you bring into this world.

You can still change lives. You can still break cycles. You can still pour into the next generation and create opportunities that change the course of someone else’s family forever.

They may not share your last name or your bloodline, but that doesn’t mean they can’t be part of your legacy. ❤️

For me, that’s all my West Coast babies heading off to HBCUs. Every student who gets to experience something they never thought was possible. Every young person who starts dreaming bigger because someone believed in them. Every door we help open that might change the direction of an entire family.

And this is for every family we help, because we’re not just changing their lives. We’re changing generations with them.

And the beautiful thing is, we may never live long enough to see just how far that impact reaches.

Because legacy isn’t just about who comes from you. It’s about whose life is different because you were here. ❤️ by @traybattles

🔥 LEVEL UP 2027 — THE YEAR WE GO BIGGER! 🔥

What if 2027 is the year everything changes for you?

Not because you got lucky. Not because someone handed you an opportunity. But because you made the decision to stop settling and start building the life you’ve always dreamed of.

We’re kicking off 2027 across FOUR cities in North America! 🌎

📍 Edmonton, Canada 🇨🇦
📍 Ottawa, Canada 🇨🇦
📍 Baltimore, Maryland 🇺🇸
📍 San Jose, California 🇺🇸

This is bigger than a convention. It’s about expanding your thinking, challenging your limits, surrounding yourself with people who push you to grow, and realizing that the dreams you’ve been carrying are worth fighting for.

💰 Level up your income.
🧠 Level up your mindset.
🔥 Level up your goals.
🚀 Level up your LIFE.

Because the life you want will require a version of you that you’ve never been before.

You can walk into 2027 with the same excuses, the same habits, and the same results… or you can make the decision that this year will be different.

2027 isn’t the year to sit on the sidelines. It’s the year to LEVEL UP!

📩 Which city will I see you in? Let’s make 2027 a year to remember! #Baltimore #edmonton #ottawa #sanjose #northamerica by @traybattles

Almost 5 years ago, I made one of the scariest decisions of my life. I quit my job, walked away from the security of a steady paycheck, and decided to bet on myself.

I didn’t have everything figured out. I didn’t know exactly where the road would lead. I just knew I wanted more out of life than working to pay bills and waiting for the weekends to enjoy it.

Since then, I’ve taken risks, changed industries, started over, failed, learned some hard lessons, and questioned myself more times than I can count.

But one thing I never did was give up on myself.

And looking back, the greatest reward wasn’t the money, the business, or the accomplishments.

It was the TIME. ❤️

Time I got to spend with my grandparents during their final years. Time to be present, to care for them, to make memories, and to have moments I can never get back.

No amount of money could ever replace that.

It gave me time to find myself. To grow. To heal. To grieve. To become a woman I didn’t even know I was capable of becoming.

And that’s something I wish more people understood.

Sometimes the biggest risk isn’t leaving what’s comfortable. It’s staying somewhere that costs you the life you actually want to live.

I’m not saying everyone should quit their job tomorrow. I’m saying don’t get so caught up making a living that you forget to actually LIVE.

Almost five years later, I still don’t have everything figured out. I’m still learning, still growing, still building. But I’m forever grateful that the younger version of me had enough courage to take that first step.

She had no idea how much that decision would change her life. 🥹

If you could buy back your time, what would you do with it? Who would you spend it with? What dream would you finally pursue?

And more importantly, what are you doing today to make that life possible?

Here’s what I’ve learned: If you’re waiting until you feel ready to change your life, you might spend your entire life waiting. There will always be a reason to put it off, another bill to pay, another fear to overcome, or a more convenient time.

Ready isn’t a feeling. It’s a decision.
