My heart broke into a million little pieces when that judge dropped that sentence. Nobody knows the pain I felt.

It was beyond devastating. My body mind and soul shut down and hasn’t been whole since you left. But still I was relentless and fought to be the woman that you needed.

I was there for every call.
I was there for every visit.

I haven’t been myself without you.
I can finally say that I’m taking a breath now.
I can finally say that I have my security, my protector, my love and my patience back.

I can finally breathe again. We’re back baby! I used to think about our love in the traditional way, but our love is so much beyond any traditional standards.

You’re my fuel… I can finally breathe I can finally fucking breathe .. let’s live baby! Turn uppppp! by @treasureofjules

Words cannot express the fullness I feel from you . You made me a mother and a wife all in the same breath .
You continue to fulfill all the promises you made and are building a life for me that you always said you would.

Your pain is my pain .
Your fears are my fears .
Your strength is my strength .
Your wins are my wins .
Your love is my love .

I always saw this future for us even when some felt it was impossible . We been bestfriends for over a decade … now I get to have you for a lifetime.

POV: Slowing down my afternoons to take a breath. I’m raising them for a world they’ll one day explore without me. Until then, I’ll treasure every moment I get to watch them discover it. by @treasureofjules

I’ve had a handful of professional experiences that have truly changed me. Yesterday was one of them.

I had the honor of meeting and listening to Ambassador Attallah Shabazz, the eldest daughter of Malcolm X and Dr. Betty Shabazz, as we celebrated the ribbon cutting of the newly modernized Malcolm X Elementary School.

There are some moments you simply cannot prepare for.

The power. The poise. The presence. She is her father’s daughter. Everyone in that room hung on her every word, and I found myself trying to take in the significance of what I was witnessing.

As a Public Information Officer for DGS, I had the privilege of helping bring this celebration together. But yesterday was bigger than work for me.

To stand inside a school bearing Malcolm X’s name and listen to his eldest daughter speak about his life and legacy is something I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Some professional moments become personal milestones.

This was one of mine.

What an honor. by @treasureofjules

I don’t think I’ve ever shared that Kairo had a speech delay.

As a mom, you notice pretty early when the milestones don’t seem to line up. Of course your village reminds you to give it time, but that doesn’t stop you from worrying. There was a point when I wondered if I’d ever hear my baby call me “Mommy” or tell me, “I love you.”

Now my little man is starting Pre-K3 next month, and I honestly can’t believe how far he’s come. He’s putting together full sentences, learning new words every day, following directions, and meeting all of his developmental milestones. Watching his growth has been one of the greatest blessings.

To any parent whose child is experiencing a speech delay, don’t lose hope. With therapy, patience, consistency, and lots of love, they can make incredible progress. Every child moves at their own pace.

So proud of my boy. ❤️ by @treasureofjules
