Do you ever feel like a plastic bag, drifting through the wind, wanting to start again?

No Katy, not really.

But I am curious what's the story behind that, so tell me more....

and sorry for the orange screenshot apparently my screen dimmer not only dimmed the screen but also manipulated the actual view, unlike the native reading mode on this phone 😂 by @treflatface

Time is not money. Time is life.

Been thinking about how shifting the metaphor I use for "time" immediately releases the tension and restlessness I feel living in this modern world.

Time is life feels expansive.
Time is money feels restrictive.

New experiences unlocked.

Parents' first concert. Well mama sih, kalo papa sempet kepo ikutan gw nonton Arch Enemy 😂

Kapan hari iseng ikutan giveaway Bryan Adams, eh dapet. Jadi beli satu lagi biar nge date lah mereka.

Mama pake minta dibikinin playlist lagu2 dia biar lebih familiar lagi. Untungnya ada yg share setlist di grup dan ada Manus AI yg memudahkan kumpulin video ID YouTube-nya.

#2 - nice moment pas lagu Heaven. gw aja blm pernah nonton yg dapet wristband.
#3 - pake ada pelangi segala di pantai
#4 - ini jg hoki, mereka duduk deket stage kecil gitu, ternyata si Bryan Adams start dari stage itu sebelum pindah ke main stage. jadi PoV nya bagus gitu
#5 - nice sky, eh?

same towel

smaller phone

many milestones later, with memories and moments to conjure

somewhat looked more happy

perhaps lost some courage since then

some dreams fulfilled and (therefore) dissolved

regained some confidence and lost some other confidence

wiser but also weighed down by being "wise"

still spinning and spiraling into the same damned stories

still not creating. still not witnessed.
still planning, still overthinking.

losing patience, tired of delaying gratification
seeking purpose, manufacturing meaning
losing agency, chasing flow
repeating patterns, trusting the process
holding onto curiosity as a lifeline. by @treflatface

Witnessed something I thought was impossible. Back together after 20+ years. Amazing musicianship. And they aged like fine wine.

🌍 What’s real, and what’s constructed?

I just stumbled upon Ursula Franklin’s work thanks to an interview that Meredith Whittaker did where she mentioned how influential Franklin's The Real World of Technlogy (1999 but oh the prescience of it!) was to her own thinking, and it sent me down a rabbit hole.

Franklin was a physicist, feminist, and thinker who deeply understood how technology shapes society.

I'm just beginning to unpack her ideas but here's one:

She identified four types of reality: Vernacular, Extended, Constructed, and Projected. I find it very cohent and useful in staying grounded and thinking about what's real in the increasingly layered world.
