Traditional St.Patrick’s Day lunch with my awesome mama @casey.carole 🍀🍀🍀 by @trishc00k

It’s Mimi’s birthday! Here is a visual portrait I made of her when I was a freshman in college that captures just a tiny bit of her magic. She is tenacious, quirky, spirited, supportive, smart, creative, the list goes on. Queen of effing everything. Everyone say happy birthday Mimi!!!!! @casey.carole by @trishc00k

Happy birthday to my awesome Mama/Mimi/Great Mimi!!! @casey.carole by @trishc00k

Happiest of birthdays to my smart, hilarious, determined, gorgeous, adventurous wild child Kelsey Belle! Love you to the moon and back. We’ve had a blast celebrating you this weekend and can’t wait to do it again soon! by @trishc00k

Astounded that this beautiful being is 30 today! Rocking this life! Woodland creature upon waking, pioneer woman (bread and pie maker, sewing), senior pet lover, needlepointer, tattoo lover (her body is an art gallery), illustrator, writer, oozing with talent…she’s a gorgeous force to be reckoned with. So so much love and admiration. My mama heart is full! Happy 30th @cuckooforc0c0 by @trishc00k

More sights—and sounds—from Africa. The last club remix of the Maasai? From the ultra-talented @paperchasewebb (hopefully Lucy inherits his musical abilities)! by @trishc00k

Africa, you astonished me.

Feeding the endangered Rothschild giraffes at Giraffe Manor (their tongues feel like cat tongues—only longer and purple-er 🦒💜).

Our first game drive dropped us right in the middle of a herd of elephants. I was stunned… how could it get any better? But somehow, it did—day after day.

Elephants, zebras, giraffes, lions, leopards, warthogs, ostriches, gazelles, hippos, and gorillas—oh my! 🐘🦓🦒🦁🦍

A hot-air-balloon ride ending in the wildest (literally) crash landing—upside down and @forseasons_ecodesign laughing hysterically. Sundowners in the bush. Breakfasts and dinners under the open sky. I could really get used to that.

But even more magical than the animals were the people. Old and new friends, what a joy. And the people of Africa! Their joy, spirit, songs, dances, and strong traditions!

I even joined a rain dance with a local tribe and met a young girl named Lucy (the same name as my soon-to-arrive granddaughter—Kelsey’s due in January!).

Steve made BFFs with the Maasai and tried to match their epic jumps.

To all our incredible guides—and to the fantastic @beethewellness crew, Vanessa & Adam—thank you. I love doing life with you guys. 🌍 by @trishc00k

Africa changes you. 😌

With each close of a chapter, a new episode begins.

Africa builds a fire in your heart. A place you cozy up to, settle in and feel more at home than you have in perhaps all of your life. 🦒

Every chapter of this journey reveals the promise of a new precious moment, another reminder that great mystery still remains when you adventure into the wild wide open.

Masai Mara we have arrived.

Stay tuned for the next episode.

The Lamberts. by @trishc00k

Nothing could prepare us for this moment.

How special, how connected, the sweetness of sisterhood, of Priestesses on the path.

Africa has always been a special place for me and this was another example of how sacred these lands are.

Our goal is always to seek out the most incredible experiences on planet earth, but this one will be hard to top.

Luckily we are up for the challenge and I have a feeling Japan is the place to do it!

There are just two spaces left for this trip of a lifetime. Comment or dm “sakura” to slide into the next episode in Japan! 🌸

Vanessa by @trishc00k

Over the years when people ask about our favorite destination, Africa is always at the top of the list and this is one of the main reasons.

Being up close and personal with animals in the wild is one of the most natural urges for humans.

There is something about these lands, the wildlife, and the energy that brings you home to yourself in the most palpable way.

Stay tuned for the next episode as we continue the Safari!
