Back to school, but HET 300hr YTT. 🤍

There was something about this weekend that felt a little like second year university.

We’ve had a couple of months apart. We know each other now. We know the drill. We’ve already done some life together.

And then everyone walks back into the room and somehow it feels completely fresh again.

This weekend was SO good.

We got to learn from Marie Baker and Natalie Jakmyshyn, the osteo duo who are brilliant at what they do while also playful, intuitive, relatable and genuinely hilarious. The kind of people who can teach you something incredibly complex and somehow make the whole room feel more curious instead of intimidated.

We spent time with Grant Hutchinson, our meditation teacher, who brings his own depth, integrity and presence every time he joins us.

And we got to do all of it inside the beautiful Lighthouse Collective, a space created with so much intention and care by some pretty incredible women!! Such great energy and vibes!!

We are really particular about who we invite into our trainings.

Being excellent in your field matters to us.

But so does how you enter a room.

How you make people feel.

How you hold what you know.

How you relate to the humans in front of you.

We want our students surrounded by examples of great teachers and great humans.

Because that is part of the training too.

Forever grateful and in awe of our entire teaching faculty 🥰✨

And then there are these freaking incredible 300hr humans. 🥹

Our work is always an invitation toward a little more capacity. A little more curiosity. A little more willingness to meet the unknown.

Not throwing ourselves into the deep end in the name of growth.

Not making everything comfortable either.

Just gently, intentionally expanding the edges of what we can be present for, while creating a soft place to land along the way.

More resilience.
More choice.
More trust in ourselves.
More capacity to be here for our actual lives.

This training means the world to us, thank you for another freakin fabulous weekend! 🤍

There’s something about fall that feels like HET season. 🍂

Maybe it’s the back-to-school energy. The fresh notebooks. The cooler mornings. The feeling that everyone is ready to come back to themselves a little.

But mostly? We just get ridiculously excited to teach together again.

Trish + I live far enough apart that our training weekends feel a little like a reunion every time. We arrive with books, notes, ideas we’ve been saving for one another, approximately 47 ,000 things we want to talk about… and then this new group of humans starts arriving and the whole thing comes alive.

It’s honestly one of our favourite parts of the year.

Our Fall 2026 200hr Yoga Teacher Training begins Saturday, September 19th, and this one is especially exciting because you can join us in the way that works for your life:

→ come in person for our training weekends at Luna Homestead in St. George, Ontario

→ or Zoom in and learn alongside us from home

And while yes, you’ll learn how to teach yoga, this training has never really been about memorizing poses or becoming the person with all the answers.

We’re much more interested in the questions.

Why do we teach this?
Where did this practice come from?
What happens in a nervous system when we move, breathe, rest, struggle or feel?
What rules are useful?
Which ones are ready to be questioned?
And how do we become teachers who can actually meet the human being in front of us?

Nervous system education that you can actually feel in your body.

Less performance. More presence.

A different kind of training.

And we are officially counting down the days. 🤍

If you’ve been circling teacher training, wondering whether this might be your year, send us “YTT” in a DM.

No weird sales pitch. Come chat with us, ask all your questions, and we’ll help you figure out whether HET feels like the right room for you.

Believe us, we’re honest to a fault (or maybe just hugely integrity driven!!) and we tell people all the time “not the training for you” or “doesn’t sound like the right time for you”

Fall 2026 • 200hr YTT
Begins Sept 19
Hybrid Zoom or join in person

We cannot WAIT to meet this group. by @trishydee

We should probably introduce ourselves. 🤍

We’re Trish + Maddi, co-founders, co-facilitators, forever students, and two very different humans who care deeply about how yoga is taught.

HET was born out of a lot of questioning.

Why are we teaching this way?
Why are we chasing shapes?
Why are we following rules we don’t fully understand?
What happens when yoga becomes less about performance and more about presence, curiosity, relationship, history, philosophy, choice, and actually being human?

That’s the kind of training we wanted to create.

One that is slow.
One that is honest.
One that doesn’t ask you to become a shinier version of yourself.
One that asks you to pay closer attention.

To your body.
To your patterns.
To the roots of the practice.
To the people in front of you.
To the real world outside the studio.

And yes, sometimes that means teaching with your notebook beside you, practicing in your pajamas, messing up, breathing, changing your mind, breaking a rule, asking a better question, and trying again.

That feels a lot more like yoga to us.

So… now that you know us a little better, what do you want to know next?

Ask us anything below. ↓

Fall 2026 200hr YTT begins soon, and we have 3 in-person spaces left. 🤍

Happy Anniversary Babe ♥️ by @trishydee

This was the most special day on the farm @thelunahomestead 💛 We gathered in the yurt, which feels like such a sacred space for healing and learning, to share our intentions for the day and practice yoga as a community.

We hiked through the trails of the farm and learned about the history of the land and the work Trish and Dave are doing to restore the soil. Dave shared how the highland cows graze the land with their strategic consideration for native plants, biodiversity and regeneration while honouring the integrity of animal life.

We sealed the day with a Yoga Nidra practice that awakened the subconscious mind and brought forward some personal truths. I cannot imagine a more blissful day. I feel honoured to gather as a community like this and discover new ways we can grow, challenge ourselves and contribute back into the Earth.

Thank you @trishydee for making your space feel like home for the day. I loved sharing this with everyone. by @trishydee

Heal Evolve Thrive 300hr YTT Weekend Two✨

What began online came to life in the most magical way together, in person, surrounded by nature at Luna Farms. This past weekend was all about sequencing + storytelling, guided by the incredible Trish… whose background in theatre, fitness, and storytelling brings a depth you can feel in every practice.

We call our 300hr training “the Lab” where we don’t just learn, we experiment!! 🔬 We try, refine, feel, embody… and then do it all over again and again. This is where theory becomes lived experience. Where your voice as a teacher starts to take shape through practice, play, and presence.

There was so much laughter, creativity, and connection woven into every moment this weekend. You can see it in the way bodies moved, stories unfolded, and the group began to truly land with each other.

This is what 300 hours is for. Not perfection, but the true practice of yoga. Not performance, but embodiment.

And wow… did they ever show up for it 💫
