08.12.2025 🕋💎 - In the city that never sleeps, peace I can't explain.

"Umrah starts with a feeling in the heart. You dress simply, let go of status and daily worries, and walk into Makkah - Masjid al-Haram with quiet hope. Circling the Ka'ba, you realize how many people have stood there before you, each carrying their own prayers. Sa'i - Walking between Safa and Marwah tests your patience and strengthens your trust. With every prayer, the heart feels lighter. Umrah isn’t just about reaching a place, it’s about finding your way back to Allah".

Alhamdulillah!
Masha Allah!
Allahumma Barik 🎓✨

Officially a First-Class Graduate - BSc (Hons) Global Business Management! at - @northumbriauni @bms.srilanka.

I’m deeply grateful to ALLAH for giving me the strength to keep going, to MOM and DAD and SISTER for their endless love, prayers, and the classic “are you done with your assignment?” reminders, and to all my friends and family for constantly supporting and cheering me on 🫂❤️.

I’m especially thankful to the academic team who guided me along the way, Dr. Abdul Cader, the dissertation mentor who kept me grounded and focused. Ms Lakshaya @lakshaya_rr , who taught us during the first semester before she left; and Mr Udisha Rajapaksha @randula07 , who stayed with us throughout and became a true assignment lifesaver. And a heartfelt appreciation to Ms Chrishani @chrishani_perera , the real MVP, always checking in on us, reminding us of submissions, and making sure our AI and plagiarism checks were on point right until the final moment 😎🔥.

“Wait… why would someone spill tea?” ~ Rtr. Hasif Haleem

Yes. He genuinely asked that. 😭

Probably the most innocent and humble member of the board, Rtr. Hasif Haleem returns for his second year as our Sergeant-at-Arms. Tell him anything and there’s always a “Why?” or “How?” waiting for you.

He works at his own peaceful pace, and somehow nothing breaks that composure. Roast him, argue with him, he’ll still be standing there smiling. Although this same innocent man once tore an opponent’s shorts during a rugby match… so make of that what you will. 😭

Recently, he’s been collecting running medals like Thanos collected Infinity Stones 🏅 while keeping his 10K Instagram followers updated with the modelling posts. Oh, and apparently he’s really into potatoes now. 🥔

Here’s to Rtr. Hasif Haleem - innocent, unbothered, and forever one question away from confusing everyone. ✨

Presenting Rtr. Hasif Haleem, our Sergeant-at-Arms! 💪🏾

Hasif is the kind of Fortaractor who never takes offense, no matter the situation. His calm and composed nature has always been his greatest strength, taking him from Director of Sports to Sergeant-at-Arms with ease.

Traditionally, this role goes to someone intimidating or tough-looking, but Hasif breaks that mould completely. He is approachable, kind, and one of the easiest people to talk to. Members stand in attention, not out of fear, but out of genuine respect and admiration for the gentleman he is.

A true sports lover, Hasif somehow mastered the art of relieving back pain with a hug crack. Lately though, he has been buried in his studies, with his degree nearing completion. The last few sightings of him have been at the college study room, focused and determined as ever. 🎓

Here’s to Rtr. Hasif Haleem, the calm, collected, and ever-respected heart of Fortaract. 🤝
