Gav and Trevor are endowed!!

For those who don’t know what an endowment is it’s where you make special promises and covenants to God (similar to the commitments made by faithful, God-loving people made to our Heavenly Father in biblical times,) that increase your love, faith, and personal connection with him.

This morning, I woke up with a clear and sudden impression to head to the temple and do baptisms for the dead—hence the messy hair and no makeup (lol). I rushed over, only to be told the baptismal font was full at that certain time. Confused, I wondered why the Lord had prompted me to come.

And then… in walks Trevor’s brother, Owen.

In that moment, everything clicked: today was the day Trevor was making sacred covenants with his Heavenly Father. I sat in the lobby with anticipation, heart full, waiting to greet Trevor, Gavin, and their families as they emerged from the Lord’s house. When they did, I met them with a smile stretched ear to ear and hugs full of love and pride.

I’m so proud of their choice to take this step—to bind themselves to Christ through temple covenants. Today, I’m overwhelmed with gratitude for the Lord’s love: for them, and for me—that He would wake me up and guide me to witness such a powerful moment.

I couldn’t ask for more Christlike friends or a more divine and loving Heavenly Father.

My heart is full. My cup is overflowing. My eyes have seen the hand of the Lord.

I’m so grateful to know that families—and friendships—are eternal. And this experience has deepened both my gratitude and my excitement for the day I’ll make those same covenants myself. by @trovrhut
