Competing at The @naturalstrongman World Championships this past weekend was an experience I’ll never forget. I went up against 17 of the best natural 90kg strongmen on the planet and walked away with second place! I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who supported me through this journey. The messages, encouragement, friends, family, and everyone who followed along, you all helped me dig deep. Now it’s time to celebrate and enjoy the rest of the week in Scotland seeing the sights and eating some amazing food! Just know I’m not satisfied, at the end of the two days I finished 31 points behind 1st and only 1.5 points ahead of 3rd. That tells me exactly where I stand, I’m the 2nd strongest natural 90kg strongman in the world. Now I have less than a year to become the strongest. My sights are set on World 2027, in Dallas Texas. The goal isn’t to podium, the goal is to win. Time to do hard things, let’s get back to work! by @troy_freedom_reed
On September 23rd I hit 16 years in the Air Force and realized I had become comfortable living an unhealthy lifestyle. I was overeating and avoiding cardio by justifying being big and strong. I decided I was done looking and feeling like trash, I made the goal to turn it all around before turning 35. The timing couldn’t have been better, @ocbmagiccitymuscle lined up perfectly being the weekend before my birthday. Here we are 6 months later and I’m down over 70lbs taking the win in a drug tested show and securing my @ocbofficialpage pro card! I can’t thank those who supported me enough, from the team @afmontmeps for dealing with my lack of carbs, @d_weldon for pushing me every weekend during our early morning workouts, to my family for having a dieting maniac visit them over the holidays and of course @matt_the_red91 for dialing me in over the last 6 weeks to come in sharper than I thought possible. Can’t wait to see what the next year brings, now it’s time to pack on some muscle this off season with @uxo_supplements and push my limits! by @troy_freedom_reed
10 Nov 25-15 Nov 25 First Wyoming Elk hunt and decided to solo it, 1700 miles each way and 5 days in the field. I learned a ton and the experience changed my perspective on so much. I’ll be making the full hour long video on YouTube, here are a few of the shots from the trip. #dohardthings #elkhunting #soloelkhunt #wyomingelk #4runner #kifaru #outwesthunting #mountians #baldeagles #moose #muledeer #backcountryhunting by @troy_freedom_reed

Fail vs Quit, 220lbs/100kg was rough tonight. I failed the 3rd rep on my first set and both 2nd and 3rd rep on my second set. It felt brutal but sometimes you just need to remember who you are, refocus and don’t quit. Finished the last 2 sets of 3 with a new fire, I hate log because I suck at log. It’s time for me to change that mindset. #teamfreedom #dohardthings #justdontquit by @troy_freedom_reed

Day 2 dry run of worlds events at about 80% weights. Had some fun dodging a keg that was out for blood!
