Hi, I'm Blessing. I'm a Canadian photo booth operator. I run real events, every weekend, same as you. Before all this, I was just trying to build a business that worked. Booking events, packing the car, showing up and doing the work myself. I'm the founder of @truebackdrops and @vibe360ottawa, both six figure businesses. But none of that happened overnight, and none of it happened without a lot of trial and error. I started in the same Facebook groups you're probably in right now. I know what it's like to question your pricing, question your setup, and wonder if you're actually running a business or just a very expensive hobby. That's exactly why I built True Backdrops. ✔ Original designs only, never stock, never recycled ✔ Double-sided covers, two looks, one frame ✔ Custom step-and-repeat work, no design fee ✔ Woman-owned, Canadian, built by an operator who actually uses this gear This isn't a side project for me. It's personal. If you're building this the hard way too, you're exactly who I built this for. Made by an operator, for operators. Comment BACKDROPS and I'll send you the catalogue. #photoboothbusiness #photoboothowner #photoboothoperator #foundersoftiktok #canadiansmallbusiness by @truebackdrops
Before you buy a backdrop from anyone, including me, swipe through this first. I’m answering the questions photo booth operators ask me every week. Here’s the quick version. Quick context if we’re new here: I’m an active operator. I built True Backdrops because I was tired of paying duties and waiting weeks for backdrops from US suppliers. Everything in the store exists because I needed it at my own events first. Q: Do your backdrops fit frames from other companies? A: Yes. Most of our backdrops fit standard frames. If you bought your frame from a popular supplier, just tell us the size and we’ll customize the backdrop to fit. For PBSCO frames (like the Atlas stand): 8x8, or 8x7.5 if you don’t have the extension. For PB Backdrops frames: 8x8 or 7.6x7.6. Q: Do I need a frame? A: Yes, unless you already own one. Our backdrops are pillowcover style and made to fit snug on a frame. Q: Does the backdrop come with a frame? A: No, it’s sold separately. If you want both, you can grab a backdrop and frame bundle on our website. Q: Can I pick any two designs for a double-sided backdrop? A: Yes. When you add a double-sided backdrop to your cart, our full catalog opens up so you can pick a design for each side. Q: Can I add my own logo? A: Absolutely. Upload your artwork at checkout, or send us the files with your order number. We can also help design step-and-repeats for corporate events. Q: Where do I upload my design choice? A: On the product page, use the upload box before you tap Add to Cart. You can also type the design name or code in the notes. Q: How fast is shipping? A: We ship from Ottawa. Most orders arrive within about a week, and custom orders need a few extra days of production. Q: Do you ship outside Canada? A: Yes, we ship across Canada, the US and the UK. Q: Can I get a custom size? A: Yes. Send us the dimensions you need and we’ll confirm the fit. Got a question I didn’t cover? Drop it below and I’ll answer it. #photoboothbusiness #photoboothbackdrop #photoboothowner #eventpros #canadiansmallbusiness by @truebackdrops

Two operators, same market. The one with the modest feed is busier. One works mostly off Google search, Google reviews and venue referrals. Gets around 35 leads a month. 2 of them come from Instagram. Books about 14 events. The other has 9,000 followers. Gets 15 leads. Books 3. The difference isn't content. It's the five boring habits: fast replies, multiple follow-ups, reviews, vendor referrals, being easy to find. Here's the math nobody posts about. Leads x close rate = bookings. Followers don't appear anywhere in that equation. That's why raising your close rate is the fastest money in this business. It uses leads you already have. No new spend, no new content calendar, no algorithm fight. More followers don't fix a low close rate. They just give you more people to not convert. I know the boring stuff isn't fun to hear. But a fast reply and a second follow-up beat a viral reel every month of the year. Comment BOOK and I'll send you the playbook. #truebackdrops #photoboothoperator #photoboothbusiness #bookedout #photoboothmarketing by @truebackdrops

The real pre-event nightmare isn’t a packed calendar. It’s gear you can’t trust until load-in The product photo looked perfect. The box arrived late, the color felt different, and your paid event was suddenly a guessing game That panic starts before the venue. You’re already planning a backup, rewriting the setup, and hoping the client never notices A backdrop that needs troubleshooting isn't event-ready gear Your booking doesn't care about supplier excuses. The frame, fabric, and hardware need to work together when they arrive Fast setup only matters when the finish looks professional True Backdrops tension-fabric systems stretch onto the frame in under five minutes, so usable gear becomes a camera-ready photo moment The Event-Ready Guarantee protects more than your delivery date It helps ensure your equipment arrives usable and on time, giving you a clearer plan before the venue clock starts That means less pre-event panic and more control over the booking You can test the setup, pack with confidence, and present a polished booth instead of explaining why the gear changed What piece of event gear makes you nervous before load-in Send this to the operator who has a calendar too full for supplier surprises #truebackdrops #photoboothoperator #pillowcasebackdrop #doublesidedbackdrop #tensionfabric #eventready #chargemoreperevent #wrinklefree #photobooth #eventdecor by @truebackdrops
Planners see photo booths every single weekend. They notice when your backdrop looks like everyone else’s. A new backdrop doesn’t always mean a new design. A lot of what’s out there is the same marketplace artwork, sold to every booth in town. That’s why we design our looks in-house. So when you’re putting together a client’s package, you can show them a look that fits their mood board, their colors and their venue, and tell them why you picked it. That gives them something to value beyond your price. Before you buy your next backdrop, ask yourself: “Does this give clients a reason to remember my setup?” Comment FRESH and I’ll send you our newest designs. - photo booth backdrop | original backdrop designs | photo booth business | pillowcover backdrop | photo booth backdrops Canada #TrueBackdrops #PhotoBoothOwners #PhotoBoothBackdrop #PhotoBoothMarketing #PhotoBoothBusiness by @truebackdrops
stop pitching one event package to weddings and corporate clients weddings buy a styled guest experience, not another generic booth corporate teams buy branded photo moments people actually share separate the visuals, then bundle the upgrades around each audience the right wedding and corporate bundles turn one booth into bigger bookings #truebackdrops #photoboothoperator #pillowcasebackdrop #doublesidedbackdrop #tensionfabric #eventready #chargemoreperevent #wrinklefree #photobooth #eventdecor by @truebackdrops

Before you buy another backdrop, put suppliers through this showdown Lead time beats the lowest price Ask for a realistic dispatch window, delivery estimate, and customs plan before comparing unit cost. A cheap backdrop that misses load-in isn't a bargain Transparent pricing only Your quote should show the backdrop, frame, shipping, duties, and any required hardware. True Backdrops keeps the buying decision clear instead of hiding the real landed cost Guarantee terms matter more than promises Find out what happens if equipment arrives late, damaged, or unusable. True Backdrops’ Event-Ready Guarantee is built around protecting booked events, not just sending tracking updates Original designs are part of the value If every supplier uses the same reskinned templates, your booth becomes easy to compare. True Backdrops creates original designs that give clients a reason to remember your setup Check the setup time A supplier should tell you how quickly the system becomes event-ready, not just how it looks online. True Backdrops tension-fabric and pillowcase backdrops stretch onto frames in under five minutes Compare repeat-use costs Machine-washable fabric, reusable frames, and double-sided options can matter more than a lower first invoice. Look at how many bookings the system can support Then compare the actual landed price Add shipping, customs exposure, replacement risk, and your setup time to the sticker price. That number tells you what the supplier really costs your business True Backdrops passes the operator test Original designs, clear product systems, fast setup, and an Event-Ready Guarantee give established operators more than a low-cost cover Save this before your next supplier order #truebackdrops #photoboothoperator #pillowcasebackdrop #doublesidedbackdrop #tensionfabric #eventready #chargemoreperevent #wrinklefree #photobooth #eventdecor by @truebackdrops
There's a 60 second test I give operators. Most people can't finish it. Answer these, right now: your monthly profit goal. What you keep from an average event. How many bookings you need each month. How many leads you got last month. What each lead cost you. What each booking cost you. If you can't answer all six, you're guessing. Not failing. Guessing. There's a book example I love in the playbook. Jess wrote the six numbers on an index card and taped it to her laptop. Half the card had question marks. That was the point. For the first time she knew what she didn't know. She stopped saying "I need more followers" and started saying "I need about 38 leads a month and a 35% close rate." One of those sentences has a plan attached to it. When you know your numbers, you know which lever to pull. Instead of pulling the one the internet talks about most, which is always "post more." Income goal, event profit, bookings needed, leads needed, cost per lead, cost per booking. Six numbers run your business. Comment BOOK and I'll send you the playbook. #truebackdrops #photoboothoperator #photoboothbusiness #bookedout #photoboothmarketing by @truebackdrops
