Everyone's been asking. Eeeeveryone 😙
There are many better resources than me, but I will do my best to respond to questions. Luv ❤️
Question 3: all-party primaries without ranked choice voting ensures you will get the milkiest bland-ass centrist with the most private equity backing.
Question 5: tightens cap on state tax revenue leading to budget cuts to essential services year after year. Tax cuts to the millionaires and billionaires who are funding the initiative.
Question 8: out of state money misrepresented themselves to get signatures for the ballot initiative. That should be enough for a NO vote, but they're also trying to re-criminalize weed? Literally no one wants that. by @truecrimeminiatures

My Pigeons and I are ready for spooky season! The Flock ALPR software does so much to keep us safe, I wanted to give back. And did you know it can lip read and transcribe your conversations?
The scale is a loose 1:12 because I changed my plans a couple times. Resin printed birds I bought on etsy and painted. Pack of Newports because we're so close to New Hampshire 😅

Looking forward to this weekend at @crimestery_fest !
Did you know Salem Village is actually modern-day Danvers? That's where we will be, starting Friday at 3:30pm.
I'm very excited to have my dioramas on display for the first time ever. Thanks to Crimestery-fest and everyone who worked to make this thing happen. Especially my husband ❤️

Miniatures and dioramas have long been used to create and solve crime scenes from a different perspective; analyzing evidence, victim position, placement of gun shells and points of entry. We even featured pioneer Corinne Botz and her unsolved nutshell case works a decade ago.

But today we bring to you the work of Lisa Lang, who creates impressive miniatures of modern crimes of a different kind. Perhaps these works can put recent incidents in a different light. We asked the artist a few questions about this intricate and time consuming work below!
@truecrimeminiatures

HF: We’ve seen crime scene studies created in miniatures in the past, but yours are different. They tend to focus on corruption and societal issues, instead. Why the emphasis?

Lisa Lang: This has been a helpful avenue to channel my existential dread in the current climate. It is my protest art to bring attention to fraud and abuses of power. It's important to not get complacent over the magnitude of crimes committed by the people who are meant to serve us. When you see the Mar a Lago Bathroom Files, for example, you realize that was like a thousand crimes ago. Through these types of miniatures I can bring a little humor as opposed to the more macabre scenes.

Anything can be a mini, so I try to think broadly and pick scenes that no one has done before.

Hf: How much research goes into each diorama/scenario? And do you enjoy that part of creation as well?

Lisa Lang: I dedicate more hours than I want to admit deep diving into each subject and over-analyzing small details in photos.
Before I made miniatures, I'd spent a lot of my free time devouring true crime media. Books, documentaries, podcasts. I was a kid who watched all the Unsolved Mysteries. The research has always been deeply engaging for me because I love learning. I learn the details, and then building a miniature helps me understand the space. by @truecrimeminiatures

Hi, I'm back, and I'm feeling non-compliant! ❤️
New small mini scene of one of my local flock safety license plate readers. You don't need any special materials to make miniatures. As you can see, I'm using wood dowels, paper, a bell, some plastic tubing and other junk drawer trash. The only limit is your imagination!
Be bold!

Four Seasons Total Landscaping is complete, minus the adult book store next door. This was fun to make. I don't normally do exteriors, so it was a new challenge! Glad I could get it done while Rudy still walks among us.

I tried to build the Four Seasons hotel, but I accidentally made the Four Seasons Total Landscaping facade. I humbly request your ideas for new slogans.

In 2022, it was discovered that Trump kept classified documents at his Mar-a-Lago estate from his first term in office, storing them in places like his bedroom, office, and yes, his bathroom. Artist @truecrimeminiatures is recreating that scene. by @truecrimeminiatures
