A few weeks ago I got to tell 200+ new friends who I am and what I do. Not just the storytelling part of me, not just the cheese part— all of it. 💖🪩 I got to share my philosophy on cheese as an edible story, and how that ties my work in food to all my other creative projects—my books, my comedy pilots, my business… and they GOT IT. 🧀🎭 It’s been quite the journey to help others (and myself) understand the variety of things I do, and how they are all connected through a mission of cultivating and embracing authenticity and understanding. And the way I like to do that is through comedy, empathy…and yes, cheese. 💡📖 The clarity @thesparkfile has given me, and the challenge of articulating that to hundreds of strangers in under 5 min was a huge gift. ✨✨✨ There are lots of exciting projects and collaborations coming from this pitch, and I can’t wait to tell you about them 🥰 Images courtesy of @thesparkfile by @trust.your.taste
Why does Harry’s New Year’s Eve speech still wreck us years later? It’s not the grand gesture, it’s specific. 🥂 He doesn’t love Sally in spite of her quirks, he loves her because of them. That’s the difference between a generic love story and one that makes you feel seen. I wrote out the formula in my notes app so you can steal it for your person: a card, a toast, a wedding vow, a Tuesday text. Swipe through, then save this for later. 💌 Want to see the original on the big screen? Join me Nov 14 at the Museum of the Moving Image for When Harry Met Sally in 35mm, with cheese, of course. 🧀 I’ll Have What Cheese Having 🎟️ Link in bio. Get your portrait taken on film just like you’re one of the couples in When Harry Met Sally! When your fiancé shoots film and you throw a rom-com party, this is what happens 🎞️🧀 Of everything we’ve planned for Nov 14, this is one of the parts I’m most excited about. Years from now, someone’s going to find a portrait from this night in a drawer and remember exactly who they were with. 🎟️ Link in bio · Only 68 seats #WhenHarryMetSally #NYCEvents #FilmPhotography #CheeseLover #RomCom by @trust.your.taste
You asked, the Unknown called back 🕯️🍂 A candle for every chapter of Over the Garden Wall, made to smell like the episode feels: 🌲 The Mill: sandalwood bonfire + moss 🎃 Pottsville: roasted pumpkin, hay, autumn spice 🍎 The Dunce Box: pencil shavings, chalk + a shiny red apple 🍺 Creepy Tavern: leather + ale-stained pub tables, my year-round love 🫖 Tea Garden: high tea in a Rococo manor garden, for Mr. Quincy Endicott River Boat and the rest are next… 🐸 Which chapter would you light first?
