Caught lightning the way some people chase sunsets.
There’s something magical about standing in the rain, waiting patiently for that one perfect thunder strike to light up the sky. Watching thunderstorms has always been calming, powerful, and unreal all at once — and this frame was worth every second of waiting. 💜⛈️

Nature doesn’t repeat moments like this. You just stay ready and hope your patience gets rewarded. 📸

~ My first Solo Trip ~

These are some postcard pictures of my first ever solo trip to Kasar Devi situated on the edge of a ridge off the Almora-Bageshwar highway on the Kaashay hills of the Kumaon Himalayas and also to Khainchi Dham.

Kasar Devi is one of the Shaktipeeths , this temple has a special magnetic effect since the temple is located right under the Van Allen Belt, the radiation causes this geomagnetic anomaly. This temple shares this special status with Stonehenge and Machu Picchu. It has meditation point that Swami Vivekanand meditated and this place has attracted many Spiritual Gurus and hippie movement heroes.
Maa Durga in the form of Kartiyayani appeared here to kill demons Shumbh and Nishumbh so you can feel the aura and the power here.

The panoramic view from here will charm your heart. Winds will bring you peace.

As we move up the Kasar devi temple , there is Mahadev and Bhairava Temple which is so peaceful and serene that you can reach a meditative state easily there. The aarti was very blissful and as I turned the city of Almora had turned into jewels. The crescent moon looked like Chandrachud Shiva Himself.

I took this journey to visit Khainchi Dham but when I came here I was so mesmerized with all the things around... I was so thrilled to be on roads and felt that mountains have called me. Today saw the news of Uttrakhand Dharali cloud burst , makes my heart heavy. Such is the force of nature and I could feel that when I was there.

I travelled mostly by local buses hearing Kumaon songs and smell of weed plants lingered all along.
