Writers & Lovers / Heart the Lover Writers & Lovers drops you right into the life of a 31 year old woman at a breaking point, navigating grief, love, work, and writing. I mean just pure chaos, every element of her life in crisis mode. How do you find the calm? Then Heart the Lover rewinds the clock and now we start back in college, the intensity of youth, her days shaped by friendships, passion, and that all consuming dread of “what if.” Split up into three parts, we follow the narrator having to painfully watch her decisions shape the future in ways you can’t understand until much later. For the sake of not ruining anyone’s reading experience my reviews are vague but oh my god! The woman has her long, long, longgggg arc of becoming; the consequences and their origins. Whether read as standalones or a loose duology (I read them in the wrong order whoops), it just works. Also the covers are stunning! Writers & Lovers 4.5 ⭐️ Heart the Lover 5 ⭐️ TTYL🪿 #books #booktok #booksta #bookstagrammer #bookstagram by @ttylimreading
The Correspondent ✉️ Dear reader!!!!!!! I LOVE this book!! I read this in one sitting last week, and cannot stop thinking about it. Ugh I want to write a letter to Sybil! The entire novel is told through letters to and from our correspondent to her family, friends, authors, secret names, neighbors, anyone and everyone! Now Sybil is in her 70s, and wondering if her life long passion in the art of writing is also the reason she is “in a room full of people but still alone”… She decides now is the age for self reflection as she struggles with going blind and the fear of what will become of her correspondents, and through that we learn of her humor, regrets, and finally true emotions. Truly so captivating, thought provoking and human (full of flaws (especially Sybils)). * The flock of duckies reminded me of Sybil and all her correspondents🥹 TTYL🦆 #books #booksta #booktok #bookstagram by @ttylimreading
Last! Now! Next?? LAST: Don’t Fall In Love With Me- Think summer in the French countryside! Sitting poolside at the château! A love triangle between childhood best friend meets long lost friend! And throw in some family secrets! I look forward to a new Paige Toon every year, and rightfully so because they always hit; the setting, twist, and tension 🤌🤌Out next Tuesday, 4/14! Can’t wait for her book tour! NOW: Immortal Consequences- A dark fantasy/academia following six students at Blackwood academy, a magical boarding school on the outskirts of the afterlife during the once-in-a-decade trials event to determine their fate. I’m really into this! I love the multiple POV and the intertwining dynamics between the group. I do fear it’s going to end on a cliffhanger and the sequel isn’t out yet 🥲 *update it does end in a cliffhanger😭* NEXT: Pls!!! Which one!!??? And why???!!! * The Knight and the Moth * Heart the Lover * The House In The Cerulean Sea (I have read this but would love a reread) * First-Time Caller Happy Tuesdays book lovers!!! How are we feeling??! 🌷🌷 TTYL💗 #booksta #bookstagram #netgalley #booktok by @ttylimreading
Recent! Favs! Long time no see! I felt so overwhelmed by how “behind” I was in the book community every time I would switch over to my account that I just felt like it was too late to come back? But it’s not? Because there is no “behind”. So here I am! Taking back my creative outlet! &&& here’s what I’ve been up to! Weekend trips! Crafting! Wedding planning! Outside time! And of course reading! Featuring my fav reads so far: Bury Our Bones in the Midnight Soil: Ohhhhh yeahhh 🤩🤩 love love love this one! The story spans 500 years, following three women through their raw and vulnerable feelings of hunger, love and rage. Sapphic vampires! Duh! The Modern Fairies: A historical fiction, each chapter is a reenactment of the fairy tales we all grew up hearing, told through a group of Paris intellectuals in Versailles, 1862. Honestly just one huge metaphor to the underlying message that nothing ever really changes, it is just modernized 😻 Our Infinite Fates: A unique telling of soulmates, with their lives tethered for a thousand years, yet they never live to turn 18. Evelyn and Arden are reincarnated every 18 years, always finding each other before the clock runs out. But this time Evelyn is tired of running and desperately wants to know what Arden is hiding about their origins and how she can convince him to live just a little longer. Project Hail Mary: SO. GOOD. Really brought the stem major out of me lol but actually! Ryland Grace is the sole survivor to solve a scientific mystery that threatens Earths extinction, except he doesn’t remember his name? Or what happened to his crew? And what does he do now? Highly, highly recommend! Need to see the movie asap Welp that’s all for now! Pls tell me what I missed!!! Recently!!!!! 🛋️🧚✨ I picked up the first book in the Shady Hollow series for a bit of a ~cozy~ read and it is hitting! It’s a shorter story, basically like zootopia 🤣 but murder mystery- when Otto the toad turns up dead, the police and newspaper race to uncover who of the shady hollow creatures disrupted their perfect little town??!! & falling more into that cozy feeling, I’ve been drawing every animal in my life in what I’d assume is their dream bedroom! I cannot stop HAHAH! So here is diesel in maybe his dream bedroom? Or maybe it’s just mine lol Anyways! Hoping this post adds some color into your day! Happy reading and happy Tuesday! Welcome to Caraval! ✨🎩 I spent the last two weeks at Caraval, living in a fantasy world with fates, magical risky games, a deck of cards and two sisters. Trilogy overall rating: 3.5⭐️ My pros: I have a lot of admiration for Tella and Scarlett’s sisterhood connection. I also thought the imaginative concept of the Fates was cool and unique! Brought me back to when I read The Shepherd King duology last fall (my favs) My cons: There’s always a lot going on, and not entirely at a good pace? Lots of loose ends too? Kinda whiny? Idk? Despite all of that I did put the Once Upon a Broken Heart trio on my Christmas wishlist 🤗🤗 Miss you already Julian 😔😔 Sooo that’s what I’ve been up to!!! Happy Tuesday, sending you all love!!! ♥️ TTYL🌌 #books #booksta #bookstagram #tbr #booktok #fallbookstagram by @ttylimreading

Orange tinted summer🌅 Currently soaking up alllll the sunlight!! Lots of orange in the air 🤪🤪 Even though it will inevitably be summer weather here for a couple more months, I started my Gilmore girls rewatch and am planning my fall tbr/outfits!
