Mochi had his Delta Therapy Dog annual assessment today, to check he was still fit for purpose 🥰

He’s clocking up the km’s is Mochi - he will be double digits in February. And the Delta team are super keen to ensure the pups are happy and healthy and still enjoying their time during their visits.

As you can imagine, being a husky, it really was a case of “let’s see how he goes today!” Thankfully the only obedience he needed to display was loose lead walking and a sit. Which was actually him casually sniffing about as we walked. Then a lazy slide onto the floor after his sit. All of which was of course accompanied with a sprinkling of sass.

I’m pleased to say, through all of the singing and chitter chatting, he passed! And he can continue to do his visits. And incase you wondered if he enjoyed them? Yes. That’s him, on the floor, belly up, waiting for the kiddos to arrive.

Well done lil Mousey - you did me proud 🤍

If you’d told me 6 months ago that I would be spending my days, picking up puppers and taking them to school every day, I’d have said you were bonkers! Yet. Here we are.

This week has been filled with the most amazing furry friends (and their hoomans!) and I couldn’t have asked for a better way to start The K9 School Bus. The support of the whole Wolfhouse team has been quite simply amazing. And the enthusiasm from pawrents and pups alike has just blown me away.

The notion that “maybe people would find a K9 School Bus handy?” is now a reality. And the feedback has been overwhelming.

It’s not lost on me that people are trusting me with their most precious cargo and bestest friend. To be honest there are only a handful of people that I’d trust with my boys (and that I’d trust them with!) So it’s a huge responsibility to get these little peeps safely to and from school.

But, week 1? Done! And I’m so happy that little faces like Pudding will now form part of my work week. No offence to ANYONE I’ve had the pleasure of sharing an office with over the years. But you guys ain’t got nothin on Lil Puddin’ 💖 (plus HR would most definitely get involved if I scritched your butt)

This little nugget is Macka. And Macka is officially the first pup to ride The K9 School Bus!

We hit the road today - day 1 of me being a school bus driver for floofs. And I couldn’t have asked for a more pawfect little passenger to kick things off! He was such a joy and there is something about a waggy tail and some ear scruffles that just make for a great start to the day!

So thanks buddy for unknowingly setting the bar for everyone else who follows, and for being an absolute delight. Looking forward to welcoming you on board again soon! 🚌 🐾 ✨

A little Insty hiatus. But a big idea in the making.

It’s been a while between posts, but I’ve been busy building something exciting. It’s coming soon and it involves dogs, which let’s be honest, probably isn’t that much of a surprise!

This lil dude did me soooo proud today. @caseymoane told me that he, oh so casually, went into zone today. With 40 doggos. OFF LEASH!!!

This is a first and a HUGE milestone for this little guy. He’s insanely spicy. And uber reactive. And yet I have video proof (see my stories) that it actually happened.

Oby has been (and suspect always will be) a work in progress. And today was massive. This lil spicy muffin made some amazing decisions. And had the most relaxed and happy body language, doing some butt sniffs… AND letting other doggos sniff his.

What a day. I’m not sure I ever thought him, off leash, in zone, with 40 dogs could ever be possible. But. Here we are.

You never cease to amaze me little one. Thank you for being the spicy, anxious, adorable, feisty little pickle you are. And for constantly surprising me like this. Way to go buddy.

Six months ago, Kivara and her pawrents moved down to Melbourne. And although the hoomans have met up between times, this was the first time we’ve seen lil Twinkletoes in such a long time!! ✨

From whisky bars to penguins on the beach to lots of laughs to great coffee to putting the world to right to photo booths, needless to say a lot of fun was had this weekend! And needless to say, Kivi was as adorable and busy and crazy and gorgeous as she always has been. Thanks for having us guys! And till next time kiddo! 🩵

If something scares you. And your instinct is to back away from it, it’s maybe time to face it.

When Brett asked each of us why we’d signed up for a 2 day free diving course, my reply was “Because I really don’t want to be here…”

He smiled and nodded “You’re not the first.”

Deep water. The dark abyss. The descent into the unknown scares me. I don’t know why. But it really scares me.

And Mark knows me well. So he signed me up. And before I know it, I’m sitting in a classroom learning all about the science behind breathing techniques and how to start to calm your brains loud and panicky reflex voice that tells you to come up for air.

Then we hop in the pool and practice. Duck dives. Efficient finning. And pushing the comfort levels of holding our breath. Going for longer each time. It was awesome!

Fast forward 24hrs and I find myself staring face to face into the deep murky depths of what’s probably my biggest fear.

Did I free dive? No.

Did I get in? Yes.

I slid off the dinghy, ignored the voice whispering “but you can’t even see the bottom…” Focussed on my breathing. And swam out to the line.

And for me? Level 1, unlocked. Actually getting in the water.

The team at FreeDivingFamily.com are amazing. You go at your own pace and they are with you every step of the way. There’s no pressure to even get on the boat.

You’re welcome to return as many times as you need, to build up the courage to do the diving. Baby steps until you’re ready. Brett said it can take 3 or 4 gos for some people. Even some instructors started out slow to help get over their fears.

So although I didn’t technically free dive today, I did get way out of my comfort zone. And would I get back on the boat and try again? Absolutely 🤿🫧👊🏼

Sometimes. With Mochi. It’s best not to ask toooo many questions. And just go with it.
🤍
No I don’t know what he was doing. Yes he was chattering away whilst he did it, blowing his “cover”. And yes I did act surprised when he proudly popped his head out to say hello.
🤍
Life with a Mochi is never dull.

If they hadn’t filmed it, I’m not sure I would have believed it.
🖤
If you don’t know Obyn, this is just a video of a German Sheppy, casually walking around a room full of doggos. With some casual nose boops, the odd butt sniff, and generally nothing much to see. In fact - other than cute dogs, you could say it’s a pretty boring video really.
🖤
But that’s the thing. The fact it’s “boring” is what makes this video so so special. The stuff we aren’t seeing? That’s the magic.
🖤
Because what I would expect to see is a spicy German Sheppy. With big feelings. Anxiously pacing around a room full of doggos. Reacting to their movements. And less butt sniffs and nose boops and more lunging and snapping.
🖤
But there’s none of that. And that’s what makes it so incredible.
🖤
It’s taken 4.5 years to get here. To receive a “boring video” of a doggo plodding around with other doggos. Years of love, sweat and many tears. Literally. But today? We got there.
🖤
And to have been sent a “boring video” like this is huge. It’s crazy. I never thought Oby would ever get to the stage where he could mingle like this. And I was absolutely okay if that was the case. I don’t need him to be friends with every dog. But I really wanted him to be really okay in their company.
🖤
And then Lil Pigglewiggle puts on his big boys pants, and shows us just how far he has come. And just how good he has gotten at making good decisions.
🖤
A huge shoutout to everyone who has helped him on his journey - from a team of dedicated people over the years to our understanding and supportive mates (you all know who you are). Without your help and encouragement and support over the years, I don’t think I’d ever be the teary eyed, proud ass recipient of such a “boring” video.
🖤
And also a huge shoutout to Tatiana his lil bestie who you can see in this video, shadowing him and I like to think, encouraging him today. Shes a special little lady who has been instrumental in his journey 🫶🏼
🖤
And now? Now we sleep. It’s been a big day buddy 🖤

It’s a bit of a standing joke with our friends. To “brace themselves” when they come over. Especially if they’ve not met the boys. And it takes a good 10 mins for the chaos to subside, and calmness to once again settle in.

And when I say chaos? I mean insanity. I’m sure our mates will agree! It’s a military operation. We have to put Oby on his lead. He is out of sight. We let our friends in. And then we carefully and slowly introduce them.

And I say ‘military operation’ in jest, but it’s fitting to Oby. He’s working line. With a family tree full of RAAF, police and security dogs. And we need to give him structure to help him cope with meeting house guests.

We knew he was gonna be a handful from around 9 weeks. He was no bigger than a kitten. But he stood at our back door and barked his little noggin off. It took a few minutes for us to realise that the wheeliebin was not in it usual location. We joked he had OCD. We soon realised this was who he was.

But for all the spice and chaos and crazy, when he knows you. And when you’re in his pack. He’s the sweetest, friendliest, protective and most affectionate boy. He’s absolutely amazing.

It’s taken 5 years to unpack the complexities of this little guy. And it’s still a work in progress. And we understand that it always will be. But reading this on @tate_r_tot_the_gsd post earlier on just made sense. It really helped articulate the “why” in a way I’d not considered.

And it’s true. Which is why we advocate for him, and look out for him in public, and commence military operations when friends come over. Not because we want to change him. But it’s because it’s what he needs from us. And I wouldn’t have it any other way.

In Classic Queensland style, the thermometer sits at 34oC at noon on Christmas Day!
✨
But that doesn’t stop the Christmas jumpers going on, the roast going in the oven and of course us all getting in the pool. Well, I say “all”… the boys are yet to get used to it!
✨
Wishing you all a Merry Christmas, a safe and happy end to 2025, and here’s to a cracking 2026! by @tuskietoes

We used to be a “4 paws on the floor” kind of family. Tuskyn and Kobe wouldn’t dream of getting on the furniture.

And then we got Mochi. And we felt bad. Because he came from a home where he was allowed on the bed. So we wanted him to settle with us when he first moved in, so although we didn’t encourage it, we didn’t discourage it when he jumped on the bed.

And then fast forward… to this.

Yes our sofa gets messed up. Daily. Cushions are thrown on the floor. Dog snot is wiped on the seats after they’ve burrowed their noses in. And fur… that goes everywhere!

But you can pick up, wipe down and dust off all of that. Because thanks to Mochi, we’ve learned that life is too short to keep fur off the furniture. And Kai couldn’t agree more.

(Oh. And the throw? That’s covering the arm of the sofa that Mochi destroyed. Mochi giveth. And Mochi taketh away. And ultimately Mochi is the reason we aren’t allowed nice things. Except sofa cuddles 🤭) by @tuskietoes
