Grayson and I managed to get 3rd in the Illinois Bass Nation State Championship with 15.89 here on Lake Kinkaid. It was an absolute grinder for us to get the keeper bites we got. Huge congrats to @brodyault2 and @braci_ault on the win and the natty qualification!! @wvcbassteam Check out my sponsors! * * * Act Tire & Auto The Oil Can Ritters Auto Repair Joes Pizza & Pasta Salem Air Apply LLC Helicrops LLC Leak Cattle Co by @tyleak_fishing
Wrapped up here at Dardanelle with a 2 day total of 17.17 and 99th place out of over 300 boats. Came in with a limit day one for 11.86lbs but sucked it up day two only bringing in two fish for 5 and some change. Overall it was a decent tournament and I’m incredibly thankful to be able to travel the country chasing these bass. ✌️out Dardanelle! On to Kinkaid for the state tournament! @wvcbassteam Check out my sponsors! * * * Act Tire & Auto The Oil Can Ritters Auto Repair Joes Pizza & Pasta Salem Air Apply LLC Helicrops LLC Leak Cattle Co. by @tyleak_fishing
Grayson and I managed to wrangle in 14.4 on guntersville during the MLF tournament. Pretty subpar tournament for us. We finished up middle of the pack. It was a super fun way to catch them but we never really found a good dominant pattern. We’re gonna regroup and get ready for an invitational and lake Dardanelle in a couple weeks! Huge congrats to @thomas_is__fishing and @blakelocey8 on their 3rd place finish out of 250 boats and finding success early in their college careers!! Well I had a pretty poor performance in the Big Bass Bash in Kentucky Lake. I weighed in one for 3.44 in the 4th session of day 1. We got another couple days here at Kentucky lake with the MLF college series on Tuesday. Stay tuned! Huge thanks to all my sponsors! I couldn’t do it without you all!! That’s a wrap for @caden_pearson_fishing and I at the @collegiatebass national championship on Pickwick lake. It was a pretty tough week of practice along with a tough tournament and motor problems yet again. Managed to troll around and wrangle up 11.50 lbs day one and was able to back it up day two with a better day having 16.73 lbs. We ended the week with 28.23 lbs and 73rd out of 219 boats. What a whirlwind of emotions here at table rock. With motor issues we were only able to troll around the ramp and couldn’t fish any of the good stuff we found in practice. With that being said the hopes were pretty low . Somehow we wrangled up 15 pounds 6 ounces for 28th place and a qualification to the MLF national championship! Couldn’t be more thankful to be able to do this!! @wvcbassteam Check out my sponsors!! * * * • Nutrien Ag Solutions • Car Corral Polaris • North Wayne Insurance Agency • Ritter’s Auto Repair • Act Tire & Auto • OK Automotive • Leak Cattle Co. by @tyleak_fishing
What a week to say the least. Had 3 days of practice at hartwell and really only got to fish one due to boat troubles. So with very little practice we decided to just go fishing and see what happens. Day 1 of the tournament we came in with 13.70 good enough for 99th place. Day 2 we had a huge rally bag with 17.41 for a 2 day total of 31.11 and 34th place out of a full field of 290 boats. The ups and downs of fishing are absolutely crazy!!! Just finished the week here at lake Eufala in Alabama. After a tough practice and not super high hopes going into the tournament, Caden and I wrangled up 15-8 which was good enough for 57th place out 210 teams. Ultimately it was a good week on fishing a new lake… on to Lake Hartwell! @wvcbassteam Check out my sponsors!! * * * • Nutrien Ag Solutions • Car Corral Polaris • North Wayne Insurance Agency • Ritter’s Auto Repair • Act Tire & Auto • OK Automotive • Leak Cattle Co. by @tyleak_fishing
Just finished up stop #2 of the Bassmaster collegiate series on Sam Rayburn. It didn’t go as we wanted to as we had a two day total of 28-9 and finished 86th place out of 250 teams. We just couldn’t get around the great big ones like we needed to but overall still a decent tournament. Wrapped up natty week here at Lake Murray for the @mlfbig5official Collegiate National Championship. A slugfest is an understatement. We caught 19-12 on day one and that put us in 47th place going into day two. Weights dropped a little on day two and so did we as we came in with 15-4 and overall ended in 53rd out of 153 and didn’t make the top 10 cut to fish day 3. Ultimately it was an incredible week doing what I love! @wvcbassteam Check out my sponsors!! * * * • Nutrien Ag Solutions • Car Corral Polaris • North Wayne Insurance Agency • Ritter’s Auto Repair • Act Tire & Auto • OK Automotive • Leak Cattle Co by @tyleak_fishing
GET UR SNOW REMOVED BY THE WVC BASS TEAM!! Assuming the weather that is predicted arrives, we have some anglers needing some work to fund their fishing tackle addiction. See below for their contact information. You’ll want to get ahold of them early as last year they had to turn away requests. Currently we have Brock, Caden, & Ty lined up and may have a second team ready to go. Give them a text or call. Brock 309-410-4680 Caden 630-862-4473 Ty 618-572-8132 Thanks in advance!! #wvcbasswarriors #bealeaderbeawarrior by @tyleak_fishing
The Kissimmee Chain of Lakes in Florida got the best of us this week. After a major cold front rolled through Florida, the fishing turned tough. Practice was less than ideal with lock jawed fish but did manage to catch a couple and find a little area with fish. We gambled on day one of the tournament and ultimately it did not work out for us. We ended day 1 with 2 fish for 4.5 lbs. Unfortunately due to a massive snow and ice storm blowing through our route home, we decided to head home early and miss day 2 of the tournament to beat the storm. Nonetheless, I’m still extremely blessed to be able to chase my dreams with the support I have behind me. @wvcbassteam Check out my sponsors!! • Nutrien Ag Solutions • Car Corral Polaris • North Wayne Insurance Agency • Ritter’s Auto Repair • Act Tire & Auto • OK Automotive • Leak Cattle Co. by @tyleak_fishing
